Q: Description states over and over that these are cloth bags. under manufacturer description states they are paper. are these paper or fabric bags?

Hi. The bags are made of a non-woven fabric material. They are not paper. Sorry for the confusion!

Q: Bags say 12 in. tall, but how much of fabric is above the drawstring? Trying to figure out the max height of what could fit in one.

There is 2.5 inch above the drawstring. Thank you.

I purchased these lovely Christmas bags to send a knitted gift to family members. I wanted them to open them together, in unison, as they were knitted in each persons favorite color. Even though these bags had a definite Christmas design I used each person’s favorite tissue color to identify their gifts without name tags. As I remember the bags felt like fabric but may have had some paper mixed in with thread fibers to make them stronger. I would NOT use them as a bottle bag for something like a bottle of wine. They are stronger than a regular paper bag but have a different construction shape. Not wide like a regular gift bag.

Q: What is the circumference?

I’m not sure, but I purchased these to hold a pair of knitted slippers for 6 adults to ship ahead of Christmas. I was able to wrap the slippers with tissue paper inside & tie the gift bags closed. They were perfect.
