I bought carnelian and I would not recommend it. When I got them they had a strange odor and were just a little tacky feeling, both went away when they were washed in dish soap and hot water. That’s not the problem though, which is that there’s absolutely no variation between the beads- each is completely uniform in color, which is blood red. Some people might like that, but to me they might as well be glass (and who’s to say they aren’t?). Stone beads should have SOME variation in color and with inexpensive carnelian one would expect greater variation and some lighter stripes, so these were either over-treated, straight out dyed, or they’re not actually stone. I wouldn’t recommend these.

I order these often for my DIY essential oil bracelets. I returned to this seller after realizing some other lava beads are coated (making the absorption of EO's no existent) these are not coated. This makes absorbing the EO's good.

After doing a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to go with this brand & seller. I’m so happy I did bc the lava beads are absolutely amazing!! I wanted them so I could make a few bracelets for diffusing my essential oils. Not only are they high quality but they hold the oil so well! The scent lasts all day too. I cannot wait to order more!! I absolutely recommend!!! I’ve attached a photo to show what I made and the quality. Hope this helps someone:)

The media could not be loaded.  I just received these today and they are really very nice. They were a fabulous price. But I could tell that there was a coding on it just like some other reviewer‘s have mentioned. Testing my theory I submerge them in clean boiling water for about 15 minutes. You can see from my video that there was, in fact, a wax like substance coating the surface. Because I intend to use these as beads, it’s not so much an issue but, for anyone using them for diffusing oils, this would be a poor lava stone bead choice.

Absolutely gorgeous!!! I love malachite, so I was really excited to use them in a bracelet. For some reason, I thought there would be some sort of sealant over the beads since it's a porous stone that doesn't like water, but after washing my hands a few times, I learned there wasn't and a few of the stones started to matte up. I'm still very happy with these, but will make sure to be more careful washing my hands in the future. Will definitely order again.

The Red Jade strands arrived on time and are beautiful they mostly appear as seen in the picture, as I have worked with stone beads for some years, there is always some variation in the color, the strands I received were more of a red/rust or reddish/brown color, this is to be expected when working with semi precious stones that have been heat treated, still, they were of very beautiful and worked well for my designs.

Ran hot water over beads to remove wax coating no less than 10 times and it is still coming off in water. So the word "Natural" is miss leading if these beads are to be used for oils. Since the beads have a coating on them, it would have been nice if seller stated that, as these are a waste of money since they can not be used for the purpose they were bought for.

I purchased these items due to the type of genuine stone. I added these to a smudging kit to ward off all the things you can’t see but can hear, and see results of (yes, moving stuff and all that). The item was exactly as presented and high quality. I’m using them in a dish along with other precious stone in various places in my home. For what I need them for, its perfect.
