Read your engine check light (MIL) fault codes Reset fault codes Reset check engine light (turn it off) Read VIN Number (vehicles that support mode9, 2002 onwards) If you consider that a garage will charge you more than this unit costs to diagnose a problem and turn off your engine check light, it makes sound financial sense to have one of these handy. If you are in car sales or involved in mechanical repair then this piece of equipment is a must have. If you are thinking of buying a used car go armed with this device to check to see if any fault codes are stored in the ECU, not all fault codes will cause the indicator lamp to come on. You can also check the VIN number (see above) to make sure it's not stolen! You just plug it straight into the vehicle's diagnostic socket and start using it, simple as that! Reset faults and warning lights with the push of a button. Fault codes are in the reference manual.
