Beautiful writing desk!
This replica writing desk is beautiful and well built. The hardware is also sturdy. The old-fashioned ink bottle is a nice addition. Very pleased with this purchase and I can't wait to start using it!

Thought it would be way bigger. Very nicely made to be like the old ones but its not even big enough foe a 8x10 notebook. Made me sad

Absolutely beautiful! IMPRESSIVE!!
I was very impressed with this lap desk reproduction - down to the inkwell and powdered ink. I plan to use it for special correspondence and that type of thing. I'm so glad I spent the money on myself - I was NOT disappointed, well worth it!!

The metal work is cheap
Received mid-April. It's now 4 June 2023 and the metal hasp just broke.Cheaply made and not worth the money.

Item was received with a broken hinge and other low quality issues. Processed for return and received return instructions which includes the statement "Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs." Bought it as novelty as I already write with a fountain pen. I did not expect to much and I was not disappointed. I'll just keep it and repair or replace the hinge.

NOT happy.
All the accessories were badly made. The pen was nothing but a piece of aluminum on a stick that a pen nib shoved in. The inkwell top, while with the clasp looked authentic, didn't close tightly and either evaporated or leaked all over. The writing box itself was good for my 6x9 airmail pad, and storing about 12 small envelopes, but anything larger was difficult. Would not buy this again.
