Decent Size, Great Features
This Camelbak replacement bladder was the first I’ve purchased in many years. Since starting back up in mountain biking, I previously used my older Camelbak with the bladder it came with. However, after using it for awhile, it finally wore out and needed to be replaced. I picked this kit due to the size of the bladder (2L) and the cleaning kit that it comes with. This new bladder allows you to disconnect the feeding tube which makes it super easy to pull out of your pack and clean. Previously, I used to have to remove the feeding tube that was routed through some tight slots in my pack. Now all I have to do is disconnect the tube and I can pull the bag out quickly, clean/dry and put back in without any other work.My previous bladder was well over 2L capacity, but I found that I never ran out of water while riding, no matter how long my ride was. Therefore, I picked the 2L bladder so it would fit better and give me a little more room in my pack. The cleaning kit works great and includes everything needed to get your bladder super clean. I also purchased Camelbak cleaning tabs to use every other cleaning to get my bladder really clean and tasting great. The cleaning kit is easy to use and the drying hanger is perfect for allowing the bladder to completely dry out in between uses, keeping down algae and bacteria that builds up if you don’t dry out your bladder completely.Overall great product.

Good replacement!
Good replacement for my Camelbak! My previous one leaked and was soaking both the bottom of the bag and the small of my bag after seeping water through. I don’t have that issue anymore! Good durable material and still very easy to take out, fill, and pop back into the bag! Size is identical as to the previous one and weighs the same too. One-for-one at a really affordable price!

Not leaking yet
The hydration bag appears to be well sealed so far and is not leaking yet. I mention this because so many of these bags I have owned wind up leaking through the bottom seal. It is also seems to be a bit smaller than other 70oz bags I have owned. What could be improved:- The screw threads on the bag cap feel too small, so I only have to turn maybe a half-turn to seal the cap. But this short thread makes it difficult to start the cap in the female thread, especially when the water level is close to the cap.. The screw thread should be longer.- The bag is extremely soft and flexible. As I usually fill it halfway and then stand it in the refrigerator until my next activity, it doesn't stand up on its own half-filled and flops sloppily. I'd like to see the rear of the bank stiffened with a strip of firmer plastic to keep it standing straight. I may glue something to the bag to accomplish this.- The sip valve is over-designed. It is large and doesn't fit through the usual loops on the straps of my hiking packs. I have had to attach a large D ring to the pack strap to fit it through so it hangs off of the strap. A simpler bite valve would be more than acceptable.- If the valve as presently implemented is retained, then it needs to open 180° (90° in each direction). I am right handed and normally tuck the sip hose through the left upper pack strap, which keeps it retained and out of the way. But when I do this the release lever is oriented to the REAR and is difficult for my right-hand to release and then twist the hose to get a drink, especially when I am jogging. I've relocated the hose from my right side of the pack to the left side to deal with this problem.. .

Works well
Love the "valve" on the end to keep the water from accidentally leaking. Washed it with regular soapy water prior to first use and there was no plastic taste!

Disappointing product / Customer Service
Bought this for my wife so she could carry 2 liters of water on a hike. Her previous bladder was a CamelBak brand that held 1.5. Had that one since 2008 and it still holds up. This one was leaking the very first time she used it. It leaks at the port where the drinking tube is inserted. It doesn't leak around the tube though. When I took the tube out and put some pressure on the bladder, I could see water leaking out against the bladder, right beside the yellow release button. (In the picture, I put pressure on the bag for a few seconds and you can see the water which had come out from somewhere near the yellow button and dribbled down.) We put the bladder in a small garbage bag so that she could use it on our other hikes and it continued to leak. When we returned home, I wanted to get a refund for the bladder but through Amazon it showed that I needed to return the bladder in its original packaging, which we had already thrown out before our hiking trip. So then I took the "contact the manufacturer" route. I filled out the form on the Unigear website which said: "Please fill out the quick form and we will be in touch with lightning speed." Well, it's been 3 days and I've heard nothing. I think they meant lightning bug speed. I don't expect to hear anything from them at this point so I'm leaving this review. Clearly disappointed in both the product and their customer service. I should have known better since the picture of the bladder shows water spraying all around it. That is apparently the water leaking out. You can take a chance like I did and hope you get a decent bladder or just go with the tried and true brands that know what they're doing and have the integrity to back their product.
