I love to cook! I also love a good cookbook and know one when I see one. And this is one!!! I have over 300 cookbooks in my collection.If you long for the sea, to be near the smell and the sounds of the ocean this book will help you get there at least in your mind. This book is full of wonderful well tested recipes that my family loves. I have yet to try one that hasn't been a complete hit. Photos are beautiful and will surely get you in the mood to be near the coast and try some wonderful dishes.Some of our favorites;Crusin' Crap Dip, Spiced Shrimp Zapala, Romas and Goat Cheese, Artichoke Cakes with Cajun Remoulade, Vandy's Butter-Braised Oysters, Northwest Clam Chowder with Oyster Mushrooms, Butternut Squash Empanadas, Balsamic Glazed Scallops, Molasses Pork Tenderloin with Red Wine Sauce, Asian Glazed Cornish Hens, Mussel Soup with Saffron and Cream, Garlicky Green Beans, Hawaiian Pineapple Gazpacho, Italian Club Sandwich, Grilled Rib Eye Steak with Crispy Gongonzola Crust and Grilled Scallions and the list goes on and on and on!!The book is very well laid out with sections on Coastal Pantry Favorites, Coastal Kitchen Tools, Stock a Party Closet, Coastal Entertaining Ideas, All About Fish and Shellfish, Metric Equivalents and my favorite, a section called Favorite Recipe Journal where you can write down the recipe, Source/page and remarks.This book really is loaded with everything and if you long to be by the sea this book is a must!!

I found this Cookbook at a goodwill and I could not believe how amazing it was!! I got rid of all my other cookbooks, cause this one has everything I needed! I bought another one on Amazon for my brother. I highly recommend this cookbook!!

This is one of the most beautiful and comprehensive coastal cookbooks that I have ever seen. I originally ordered this to leave in my beach house on Hatteras Island as I try to leave fun kitchen surprises for our summer renters (believe it or not, we get just as many compliments on our well-stocked kitchen as we do about our ocean views!) My first thought was that this was too lovely to leave out, but after reading it it, I quickly decided that this just too perfect of a cookbook for vacationers who love to cook for family and friends, so on the shelf at the beach house it goes. As I decided I can't live without this in my home kitchen, I am ordering another one for myself!

I have owned this cookbook for about 3 years. Recently, I bought another copy for my aunt. The recipes come from restaurants across the country and feature regional seafood specialties, featuring fresh ingredients with emphasis on seafood. Of all the cookbooks I own, this contains the most (and best) seafood recipes, although it is not exclusively limited to seafood. There are sections on party planning and shopping tips. I also like the appetizer section, and use it frequently. The photos are very lovely, so I often keep the book on display in my cookbook stand in the kitchen. It's a great addition to your collection (although it should not be your first/only cookbook) and makes a good gift for someone with similar interests.

This book is fabulous. It reminds me of a Southern Living cookbook. Recipes include many seafood options (of course), as well as appetizers, snacks, cocktails, main dishes, and desserts. So far I have made the Brussel Sprouts Beignets with Bacon Aioli, the Italian Club Sandwiches , and the White Bean and Tuna Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing.

Great recipes

You will love this book, especially if you are a cookbook collector. The recipes can actually be made and the directions are easy. The photos are wonderful. I think you will like it and actually, it could be a coffee table book. It is large and very well written and the display photos are an eye catcher, as is the cover. I enjoy just looking through the book and I know you will too. Cooking the great recipes will make you a star to your guest or to your family. Enjoy!!

I saw this book in a retail store and immediately wanted to try several of the recipes, but before buying the cookbook I thought "I wonder if Amazon has it, at a better price?".Fortunately for me the answer was yes. Great recipes that carry on the coastal theme. Okay, so I live 80 miles from the coast -- I still can make some of these recipes and pretend I'm a bit closer...
