Leviton 42777-2EA Surface Mount Backbox, Dual Gang, Black, 1.89"

I used this box for a rather unconventional LED light project which I wont delve into here. The Leviton 42080-12E Quickport Dual-Gang Wallplate fits perfectly on this box. The box itself looks quite good and presentable. Granted, most people will have this inside their wall or someplace else out of sight, but I happened to use it in a much more visible fashion. For my needs, this was the perfect solution. I'm highly satisfied, and will surely order one again if the need ever arises.

Leviton makes beautiful boxes. I mounted this product in about two minutes. Absolutely love it. Do not hesitate to buy from them.

Box was exactly as expected and fairly easy to install. It did take a little bit to remove the side knockouts.

This is supposed to go over an existing outlet but the cutout is too small. Modified with a dremel for a clean fit and works great. Strong materials

I thought this box was perfectly fine until I installed it on the wall, wired in switches, and started mounting switches on the box. Despite being careful, one of the screws cross-threaded and I had to bust it off and replace the box. This was a total pain given I'd already mounted the box and rewired everything. A little more quality in hardware and this would have been a perfectly good product. Disappointed.

I hardly ever write reviews, especially negative ones, but do yourself a favor and don't bother with this. I tried to install this cheap ass plastic box, and wasted hours with it as I finally got to installing the outlet plug and the screw corss-threaded in the mounting sleeve and could not be removed. It's trash now.

Needed a black wall mount 2 gang enclosure to hide the plug-end of my ropelight. Priced high, but needed it.
