Ultimate Explorer Guide for Kids Paperback – July 30, 2015

This is great if you are looking to interest an outdoorsy kid! Has some great information in it with very vivid and descriptive pictures. Even shows you how to put together your pack effectively. Information is broken up into sections and looks less overwhelming than an adult field guide etc. Catches the attention of those not so into reading. Book and pages are thick and sturdy as well. Great product overall.

Justin's adventures and information have lit up the faces of my students. They love this book and many have ordered it on their own. The pictures are amazing and vivid. The text is engaging. Talking with him about his adventures and then reading this make a classroomexplod with children who want to be adventurers!

I bought this book for my kids - 8, 10 & 15. It contains some very important and practical information. More importantly though, it is well written and interesting. We have spent a lot of time with this book since buying it. I like that you can skip around and only read the sections that you are interested in.As an adult, I too greatly enjoy this book!

I bought this as a gift for my son and returned it without giving it. I was looking for something a little more hands-on / outdoor adventure / how-to type material for camping and such and this seemed to me to be mostly big glossy pictures with factoids about situations in a jungle, the arctic or similar extreme environments. The pictures are nice and I'm sure many could find it interesting in a National Geographic kind of way, but it's not at all a guide you'd throw in your pack for general (typical US forest) outdoor adventure.

Very nicely laid out. My kids love it.An excellent 'starter' to get the kids off the consoles and outside exploring.Highly recommend.

I bought two of these books for different age groups for my friends children(I did have a read before wrapping and sending them off).One was for an 8yr old boy and he loved it found it really interesting to read and easy to understand and he is enjoying putting it all into practice. The other one was for an 7yr old boy and 5yr old brother and sister who also found it very interesting with a bit of help reading it from their Mum. From the reports I have had back I made a good decision in buying these books, the kids are really enjoying them. Would recommend to any adult to get for girls or boys especially kids that enjoy the outdoors and even for those that don't yet but will with the help of this book :-)

My 7 year old loves this book. Its got some good knowledge but definitely not a how to book.
