This is a good quality knife for the price! I wasn’t sure if I would like a curved blade but it works for many applications in my gardening tasks. Great for cutting squash off the vine. Secure lock ensures I can stick this in my back pocket without fear of injury. And it has a beautiful wooden handle.

Blade was sharp, true to the nature of the knife, all around a solid purchase.

Opening and closing the blade feels rough. The build quality reminds me of a souvenir knife from some tourist place like a state park. My intent is to prune narrow yucca leaves so it should be sturdy enough and not end up with a loose blade at the pivot pin.One small concerns is that one of the handle rivets is pretty close to the edge and I'm afraid the wood may split there.

I should have listened to prior reviews. The closing mechanism has major flaws. I was afraid I’d lose a finger.

The knife is nice and sharp and works well. The problem is with the closing mechanism. It is impossibly stiff--even my very strong husband found it difficult and dangerous. We tried adding a bit of oil to lube it, but it is still really really hard to release the blade to close. It should not take a pair of pliers to squeeze the closing mechanism! They need to fix the design. Don't buy this one.
