I've been using this cream for many years, and it never lets me down. I'm completely satisfied with it. I'm a senior citizen with delicate fair skin that has a strong tendency toward dryness now, but in my youth my skin was oily and didn't need help. As time went by and my skin began to lose its own natural protection, I found this cream and have felt no need to try other moisturizers for daytime use. Its chief attraction for me--besides the very important fact that it keeps my skin soft and supple--is that it isn't greasy. The cream has a light texture and spreads easily. And, it soaks right up into the skin, so that you can apply makeup almost immediately if you wish.

This may be my new favorite moisturizer, it's very light weight, but also very nourishing.I'm allergic to a lot of things, but this one has been safe for my face, and hasn't broken me out, so that's a big plus!

I'm just trying this moisturizer and am really pleased with the quality. It's light, almost no fragrance, and not oily. I have dry, flaky skin, so the moisturizer is not heavy enough for winter conditions. Desert Essence is also committed to cruelty-free, enviro-conscious products. It will be a great moisturizer for summer, but for winter I prefer Jason Vitamin E 5,000, which has a bit more oil to make sure my skin is moisturized all day.

I am Italian. I say that to let the reader know that I have oily skin. Really oily skin. Every time I find a face moisturizer it breaks me out like crazy and clogs my extra oily pores even more than they are. I use all desert essence products and I LOVE them soI figured I’d give this one a try too. The first time I used it my face did have a reaction to the Lye. Don’t worry- it went away within fifteen minutes and after a few weeks of using it my skin adjusted and now it’s clearer than ever. I FINALLY found a face cream that moisturizes my face without making it oily. This works as a great primer too. Love that this is a vegan product not tested on animals - the whole line of skin care is wonderful especially for those like me who have extremely oily skin.

I love this stuff! I won't rehash all the details, but in addition to the info listed on the packaging/in the description, I like that it doesn't contain silicone. It's not that silicone is bad for my skin, but it doesn't do much in a moisturizer besides add slip for cheaper than using more oils and fatty acids, which provide their own slip. It says it's scented with natural geranium essential oil, but don't worry if you can't stand the smell of geraniums. It's a quite mild, faint, almost brown sugar smell. It's not the odor of the stalks and leaves. It is so faint that if they didn't tell me it was scented on purpose, I would just think it was unscented. It's a decent size jar for the price, much cheaper than other face creams I've used. I used to use the Welleda baby face lotion with calendula, but it's so greasy compared to this. The Desert Essence is light and sinks right into the skin, without leaving a sticky residue or coating of oil. I use it at night and in the morning, after I wash my face. I will continue to use this until they stop making it or change the formula drastically.

When I first found this product I thought it was a great deal for the price... but I soon found out that I got what I paid for with this one. At first, my complaints weren't that major: it would get in my eyebrows and make them feel gross and it also wouldn't fully moisturizer my t-zone no matter how many layers I would do (I have combo skin where I am oily in my t-zone and normal everywhere else and I am also acne/blackhead prone).Then the real horror happened. I use chemical exfoliants (both BHA and AHA) and have been for years without any issue. I had even been using them with this moisturizer for nearly 3 weeks with no issue. But one day the moisturizer reacted horribly with my exfoliants and gave me what felt and looked like a horrible sun burn. It stung for about 2 minutes and my face looked horribly red all over!I thought I might of been my exfoliants because the moisturizer doesn't react like that when I don't use them but I tried them with a new moisturizer and there was no problem at all.So this could work for you if maybe you have dry or normal skin and don't use chemical exfoliants. Even then, I would say it's a gamble.

I am prone to acne and my face breaks out if I put anything on it that contains any type of oil. I recently moved from a humid climate to dry one. I never had to use facial moisturizer in the humid climate, but now my skin is drying out so much! I have tried numerous facial creams and lotions and they all make me break out. Then I discovered this Desert Essence product. This moisturizer goes on smoothly, soaks in quickly, leaves no greasy residue, and best of all, moisturizes my face without making it break out! I apply it sparingly both morning and evening, and I am SO thrilled that I finally found something that works for me!!

We used to love this moisturizer - it was so cool and soothing and not greasy at all. Now while it has the same cool, soothing, non-greasy feel to it, is gives both me and my husband a rash! We bought another jar just in case it was a bad batch and we are still having the same problem...we put it on and within 15 minutes both our faces are red and blotchy and have a slight burning feel. We don't use soap on our face so there is no chemical reaction happening or anything...I don't know if they changed their formula or what, but I am so sad to have to start the hunt for another moisturizer now :(

Use after shaving in a dry prairie environment.I like this because I don't notice that it's on my face. It has no scent and doesn't feel clammy after a few minutes.Helps keep my face from getting too oily or too dry, with no extra pointless additives.

Not sticky. Absorbs right into skin. Excellent for sensitive skin. Love it.

I like this lotion it is good for my sensitive skin I don’t break out with this lotion it is light the thickness is just right and keeps my face moisturized to apply my makeup without dry spots.

Excellent cream and the protective film of moisture it leaves on the skin, which I find is very unique to anything else I have tried.
