Revenge filled action.
I liked how it portrays a person's need to take back control of their life, in a scifi way.

Groan Worthy
I'll say right up front, this is not a movie I would choose. I watched it with a family member who likes action movies. I am also not a Vin Diesel fan. Still, I can be objective. I do have a few good points, and objectivity is one of them. This is not a movie for kids, no matter how much they like action films and no matter that it's based on a comic book. The opening scene is far too suggestive. Sometimes it goes beyond suggestive, and really, the sexual component wasn't necessary. They could have set it up without and been far better off.BLOODSHOT is all about revenge, of course, but how tired is the "bionic man" plot? We've seen it time and time again and done far better. This film offers nothing new on that old riff. The characterization in this film is so shallow, it's barely there, but then I don't think lovers of action films watch them for layered characterization. And, even though Vin Diesel isn't one of my favorite stars, I do have to say this film is a come down, even for him. His dialogue was, for the most part, incomprehensible. It probably took him less than an hour to learn his lines. Some of the plot points made little sense, so if that bothers you, be prepared. And the action isn't non-stop. The movie felt like the writers sat down and simply pulled things from every good action film out there and mixed them together, whether the mix made any sense or was simply a hodgepodge of confusion. If you begin watching expecting a "Vin Diesel version" of THE TERMINATOR, you're going to be very disappointed. Some reviewers have noted that this film, despite the blood and carnage, is funny in spots. I'm not sure what spots they're referring to, but if they mean that the filmmakers and the characters are aware that the film they made is bad and they let the audience know it, then that, too, failed for me. BLOODSHOT isn't fun or funny; it's groan worthy, and the so called "self aware" scenes are especially groan worthy. I don't think anyone involved even tried to make a good movie, so they simply inserted these little scenes and hoped they told the audience that "yes, we know it's bad, but it's Vin Diesel, so try to enjoy it." See? Groan worthy.I'm sure most action movie lovers will watch this film, and most will find it wanting, to one degree or another. I don't think it's going to be anyone's favorite. Really, the only people who should bother wasting their money on this film are people who just have to see every Vin Diesel film that comes out, no matter what the quality. Those people might love it. For the rest of us, even the best buttered popcorn won't save this one.

Great Action, Not a Dull Moment and Great Actors
Good storyline and typical governmental actions & concerns with excellent action, cgi, and cinemicrography making this an exciting movie to watch that is not a downer. On top of this we have Vin Diesel, Eiza Gonalez (From Dusk To Dawn series), and Guy Pearce all three are very good actors. In my opinion KT steals this movie which is something because Vin & Guy are very strong. This movie wasn't pushed well when it came out and what a shame that is because it is a real gem and worth seeing.

Bloodshot - A Disappointing Deviation
I'll be the first to admit that I hadn't read a Bloodshot comic until the revival by Valiant in the last few years. The books are crazy violent, and the character just reminds me of a vigilante type but is unlimited in power due to the technology running through his body. Valiant has had a great take on science fiction and how it applies to super hero stories, so I was excited to see if there was any of that translated to this film. Unfortunately, this movie was as bad as everyone says that it is. I have no ill will towards Vin Diesel, a Bloodshot film, the character, or anyone involved with the film. I went in and have been waiting with a clear head to give this movie a fair shot, because hey it could be entertaining. This was far from entertaining, and truly does just move from one cliche to the next. Dialogue, scenes, fights all go the way we've seen them go before. I have no doubt in my mind that there was good intention to pay off the Bloodshot story in this movie, but it does not show. Those who are giving the film a higher review due to Sam Heughan (who I had to look up to see why he has such a following, Outlander), are completely justified in doing so. He's probably the best part of the movie, and is actually given a straight forward arc that works. Seeing him come to fight at the end of the film is the best part, so if you're a fan of his it might be worth watching. Otherwise, it's fairly boring and I found myself at no point laughing for good or bad. It was just... disappointing. There's a lot of interesting concepts due to the origin of the story, and nothing is really paid off.I would have been interested to listen to an audio commentary on this one to maybe bring some life to the film, but it's not there. So, you're left with some special features explaining how great everyone is, and I'm sure they were great on set, but the final product of Bloodshot the movie is just lackluster to no end. I rarely find myself disappointed with movie purchases, and I even waited for $20 on this bad boy. It's not great, and I wish I could take it back. I won't ever watch this again, rent it if you're interested and save yourself the purchase money. This will be a Black Friday doorbuster in 2020 probably, it's just not good despite having the potential to do some interesting things in the super hero genre.

Not the best thing i have seen lately
Let me see, Vin Diesel....I am usually 50/50 with him, this 50 is not the very best best 50. I am not certain if this is his poor acting skills or if it is the poor writing. Either way he needs to do more than walk and mumble and he should have had something to say about his part. As for the support cast...they are okay, I won't give any awards but they are okay. Standard and stock villains. The fight scenes are a CGI nightmare, so obvious. I think that maybe Vin was a wee bit too old for this character and this character which comes from the comic book is not that interesting to begin with. This is good to kill an afternoon but make sure it is dead first.
