This is an exact replacement thermal fuse for my model of Instant Pot. This is a 142 degrees C fuse, not to be confused with other fuses of different, mostly higher, values of temperature. Always replace the thermal fuse in an instant pot with a thermal fuse of the exact same rating. Amazon sells several thermal fuses with various heat ratings so it's easy to find the one that will work for your model Instant Pot.

This little do-dad saved my Instant Pot! I have an 8qt instant pot that stopped working. I use it at least two or three times a week so I was heartbroken. Thankfully, I found a YouTube video with instructions on how to fix it. My husband was able to replace the original capacitor with this one and saudered it into place properly because he is amazing like that. Now, my Instant Pot is back to working again!

There's some kind of trick to soldering these in place, because twice these popped off because of soldering. So the tool's too hot for the rating. Think the idea would be to put solder on the iron, then drop it onto the wires while trying to keep the fuse cool. Guess that's why they give you so many.
