Universal Kit Does Not Fit My Bike
I got my grips off of my motorcycle in preparation to install this Universal Fit hand guard. It does not fit inside the handlebars. My handlebars are solid and have been drilled out for a measured just a hair over 3/8 of an inch (9.5mm to 9.6mm in metric). This Universal Fit kit has one small expandable lock insert with about 1/2" diameter width (12.7mm) and then it inserts into the kits larger outer lock sleeve which is 68/100 of an inch (17.2mm). Obvious even the smallest 12.7 mm expanding lock insert won't even go inside the 9.5mm hole in my handlebars.

Spend It
Best $20 ever spent, I’m pretty sure they sent the tools to install as well

Saved my bike and my life
I was skeptical about buying these handguards over a brand like acerbis. But boy was I happy how well they preform for me on the highways at high speeds. They block the wind great and they also saved my bike and my life from a 30mph lane filtering accident I had last week. This was the only damage from my handguards. And the other photo was from the 2012 mustang mirror that my handguard hit when the guy was trying to block me when I was filtering. A+ product and A+ seller

Best bang for buck
I spent over $130 on another pair of fancy hand guards that aren’t much better than these. I was surprised to see these are good quality guards for the price. The only knock against these is that the clamps are really cheap. But you can buy another set of good quality clamps for these guards and still get a better deal than most other hand guards out there charging a lot more.

Sturdy, NOT plug and play
These seem decently well built and sturdy but I did need to bend the backbone in one place and twist it in another. I used a decent bench vise and a large adjustable wrench to do my adjustments. If you don't have any such tools you will probably have a tough time getting this to work for you. I think they'll work for most bikes if you do have such basic tools and half an hour or so to spend installing them.If you don't look for a kit with an extra swivel in the middle mount which would make it so you only need to bend, which you can probably do with no tools at all. It's the extra twist that requires some tools.Dinged one star just because of the extra effort required to install. I'm otherwise happy with the purchase.

I have always bought the expensive ones, not anymore
Installed on 2021 Kawasaki KLX 300 SM. Note the blue is a perfect match for the bike. The installation went fairly smooth with a couple of caveats. Kawasaki chose to install the typical Japanese handle bar weights by spot welding them inside the bar ends. You can eliminate the bar weights by grinding away the three spot welds that hold them in and removing them. This will shorten the bars by approximately one quarter inch on each end. The alternative is to drill and tap the bar weight to 8mm X 1.25 thread. The weights have an existing hole that need to be drilled out, I recommend one size larger than recommended for the tap. The metal in the weight is “gummy” so be careful with the tapping procedure. You will need 8mm x1.25 Flat Head Socket Cap screws 30mm long.Having installed numerous similar handguards on various motorcycles I can say the installation went smooth and was as easy as the far more expensive sets. The quality is excellent, I highly recommend them.

Decent for the price.
It’s clear that this product is a bit hastily made. Pieces still have remnant shavings and the tapping was done with extremely limited material left. I wouldn’t expect these guards to make it through multiple drops on rocks or asphalt, but I can update that later if it happens. Like others have stated, I had to bend the ends of the metal to accommodate on my 2005 DR650. I have a crossbar on my handlebars and still managed to make it work. Just be sure to heat and bend slowly. Looks to be made of potted metal.
