They do glow in the dark as you can see in the picture. I used my flash light on one which was the brightest in the picture. I didn't have time to put them in direct sunlight. But I will be putting all 96 in direct sunlight for at least 5hrs. which is something you should do with all glow in the dark things. Honestly I leave it for at least morning till night. That will give you the best results. Also keep them where the sun will shine on them if you dont they won't glow. Of course thats common sense. Now the quality of the butterflies. You do get what you pay for. I personally think they look better from a far away distance When its day time. Also it made out of plastic so if you get them wet for some weird reason it won't be a problem. VERY IMPORTANT it does seem to have been made out of clear plastic then printed the design on. Just a warning for those that want to be cheap and buy something that gives you 96 butterflies for about 10 dollars but want a better quality. But wont pay for better quality. Again you get what you paid for. If you wanted to know why I got them. I got them because I wanted to put them on my ceiling where I have glow in the dark stars as well on my walls. I might put them so they are flying together in a certain direction. It will look good in the day and night. I will put them next to my better quality butterflies I paid for. That dont glow and are only 12. Btw I will be buying more!!!Ps. I will update

They don’t glow very much, but they definitely add aesthetics!! They do fall off so you may want to consider more adhesive than what they come with.

I did not know that you have to put light on them to make them glow, but once I did they glowed really well for hours. They were very easy to install and they looked very pretty. Only a few fell off, and the installation was very easy. Over all, the butterflies are very good quality and I would buy them again.

These butterflies adhesive backs will not remove your wall paint, they come complete with tiny adhesive two sided tabs, but I would need more, IF you can advise where to get them .Fast shipping and great packaging too.

I bought these specifically for the glow in the dark aspect of them and unfortunately, even after putting them in front of a bright light for an entire day, they did not glow. They still are very fun though and definitely a great option for decorating a space!

Few had falled off but I fixed them with stronger tape. They glow in the dark but I have to have the lights on all day for the butterflies to glow other wise they wouldn't. The butterflies are beautiful though and worth the buy.

These do not glow. And yes we put in an area they can get lots of light to charge.
