The brace give you stability with out losing a lot of range of motion.

My son has had ankle issues since his 7th grade wrestling season. We’ve been though plenty over the years and finally found this one. Lasted through his jr and at HS seasons and held up perfectly. He wore it through practices and competition for months at a time. Definitely a good quality lightweight brace.

My mom was in a car accident in 2013 and had screws placed in her ankle. Over the years, her ankle has gotten stiff and sore and weight bearing has become more difficult.I have nothing bad to say about this product in the stability, comfort, and support areas...all five stars.Where this falls short is in the lacing. Unlike a pair of sneakers, you can't just pull and have everything tighten. No, you need to adjust aglet by aglet, and that is something my 91-year-old mom cannot do. So unless someone is around to help her put it on, she's stuck without it.And as a bit of advice - she wears lady's knee-high hose under it, and once it's laced, we flip the top down over all the lacing. This keeps her pants from rubbing against the lacing and loosening it.Overall, I would buy it again.

This is a fine brace for everyday and athletic use if you have an ankle (left or right) that's recovering from a strain or you have weak ligaments there. It provides almost as much protection and support as a splint brace but is much more flexible than splint braces and molds more closely to all parts of the joint. It's fairly simple to apply and sturdily built (I wear mine almost all the time--looser for strolling, standing, and sitting around, tight for sports and hiking). As a person with thickish lower calf muscles and a wide foot, I do wish the laces provided were a little bit longer; it's doable--I just leave one rung of laces unlaced in order to have lacing available to tie up at the top--but an unnecessary inconvenience that three or four additional inches of lace would avoid. Otherwise, I've found this a first-rate solution for weak or rehabilitating ankles.

Sizes run too small, laces too short, time consuming to put on and remove, claims it's a level 3 support but its only a level 2, neoprene band on the bottom (heel) broke literally seconds after putting on the first time. It also smelled horrible like chemicals . Trying to return was nothing but a hassle .Not recommended and I wouldn't buy again.

The quality of the brace hand down beats anything else on the market that you can pickup at your local Walgreens or CVS. Very sturdy, extra cushion on the bottom that no other brace comes with and contoured support on the sides rather than flat hard plastic like others come with. With all that said however, I have a size 9 shoe and ordered a Large (largest size available on amazon) and it was extremely tight. If you think you need a medium, get a large.. If you think you need a large, this may or may not fit you well.

I injured my ankle very badly in an automobile accident. The ER we went to wasn't very concerned at all, so I thought I must be OK even tho I could not stand to bear any weight on that foot. Finally I went to see my Primary Care Doc. He ordered new xrays and saw that I had really torn up the main controller of the ankle/foot that goes right down the top front of the leg. He sent me right then to purchase a McDavid Brace at the local Sports store. It helped quite a bit. I even wore it to bed for about a week and finally got to sleep through the night! Since then I have purchased 3 more McDavids, plus one other one that kind of looked like a McDavid, but it was not. The McDavid fits more snugly and has enough shoe laces that it is very easy to lace it up fully and tie a nice big knot. The other brand's shoe laces need to be much longer, and after wearing the other brand for several hours my foot feels like it has gone to sleep. This doesn't happen with the McDavid which I wear all day long! My ankle is slowly getting stronger, but I realize that this injury will probably never be fully well, and will be likely to reinjure. This is why I went ahead and bought more McDavids. I can wash one pair out and wear another, and if one breaks eventually I will have spares. I am very thankful that my doctor was aware of this brand and sent me to get the first one. It has made a big difference in my mobility!

I have a bad ankle , I ordered this brace to see if wearing it would help !I put it on this morning, it’s very comfortable, pretty stable and easy to slide my foot into the brace , and it fit easily in my running shoes.I had a similar brace I got at a medical supply store, it had better support, but was very uncomfortable.I would recommend this product !UPDATE : after using this brace a few days , I found reason to love this product.The laces have a texture to them. So as I’m pulling the lower strings , they stay in place.I’ve had other brands , they had smooth laces .it made it tough to keep them tight as I lace them to the top.GREAT PRODUCT !!

The product doesn’t fit me and serve the purpose. I have complaints and called the customer care 4 times. On the website it’s written it’s refundable and the customer case is not accepting and initiating a refund /return of the item.

Comfortable, easily laced, provides strong protection with a comfortable feel and fits nicely in shoes. If laced snug, unlikely to roll ankle. I have not rolled in a year of using. playing a few games of soccer and ball hockey each week.

Das Produkt kam sehr schnell geliefert, wie immer. Ich habe XL bestellt, nach groben Überschlagen des Knöchelumfangs. Auf der Produktverpackung steht auch, wie das zu messen sei (Über dem Knöchelknochen).. Die Verpackung ist komplett auf Englisch, eine kleine Beschreibung ist vielsprachig (auch Deutsch), das Produkt ist in China produziert, macht aber einen guten, qualitativ hochwertigen Eindruck.Bei meiner Schuhgröße 43 passt der Knöchelschützer super. Er sitzt angenehm stramm am Fuß und macht einen sicheren Eindruck. Es ist komplett flexibel, also es ist kein festes Element verbaut. Die Stütze passt super in meinen Sportschuh mit rein, auch auf beiden Füßen, mit einem Socken drunter ist das auch sehr angenehm. Beim Sport selber (Handball) kann ich mich damit viel sicherer Bewegen.
