Exceptional set of headphones, inputs matter
I have the 80 ohm version of this headphone. I also bought a small $24 headphone amplifier for this, and did the 3-hour burn in that is recommended. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WDXDNM1/Using the front jack on my computer resulted in an ok experience, but when I moved the input to the back of the computer (a more solid connection I guess) this thing came to life. I also use the headphones with my iPhone, which already has high-quality output. But it works SO very much better when I run it through the headphone amplifier.So the inputs matter. You need a solid, high-quality source of audio input into the amp, and you'll get great output with these. You don't have to have an amp to run this, but it increases the experience and gives you more control over the detail.But understand that an amplifier isn't going to necessarily increase the quality of your audio. Think of it as a guitar amplifier. It's going to amplify the sound and volume, which increases the experience of the audio. If you have a low-quality recording, you can't fix that with an amp. It'll just be louder.Great for gaming and music. Incredibly comfortable and exceptional build quality. Some complain about the 10-foot cord, but I find that to be useful when I'm rolling around the home-office setup.If they break tomorrow, I'll buy a new set without thinking about it.
