ATV UTV Receiver Hitch Spare Tire Carrier Fits 2" Hitch Made in USA. All Steel Welded U-4048

This product is great idea but it needs to go back to the drawing board and get re-engineered. On my first trip out to the desert the welds failed on the first day. Fortunately I had the upright turned so that the spare tire was up against the rear of the UTV or I would have likely lost a new tire and wheel. The current design with the two flat bars supporting all the weight lacks any kind of gusset(s) for further strengthening. Also, the picture in the ad shows the two flat bars as being part of the round disc (where the tire mounts) and folded over 90 degrees and only welded to the vertical upright. On mine the two flat bars were welded at each end where they attach to the disc and the upright. As shown in one of my pictures the welds failed where the flat bar attached to the disc. Additionally, I had to finish drilling the holes on one side of the square tubing so the 5/8" hitch pin would go all the way through so it could be locked in place. Until this product design changes I would not recommend. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller for a resolution. UPDATE: Seller reached out and offered to send me a new upright with a gusset. They were very helpful and sorry for the trouble and I do appreciate them making it right. I did change my rating from 1 star to 2 star. I hope to update again once I have a working product. UPDATE: I guess the seller didn't like my review as I never heard from them again. That's unfortunate as I was hoping to get an improved product and change my review accordingly. Amazon refunded my purchase price so all is good.

Product did not work as it stuck out too far. Did not have different holes to adjust the length from my vehicle. Bought one a walmart.
