I have a couple of these from different providers, and it is a very good idea to have something set aside in case something bad comes down the pike (which looks more likely anymore).Not too much to say, but stocking up on these and related products, can only benefit you.

I decided on this product because you do not need access to a stove and/or boiling water. Many other kits may also say "just add water" but the instructions require that you boil the food for a few minutes (such as for the soup, rice, or pasta), refrigerate it, or mix and then cook (such as pancakes). However, this one is edible with just adding water. In case of emergencies, such as a hurricane, and you did not have access to electricity or gas, you'd still be able to eat this food. I had an issue with one of the items in the bucket, but the seller quickly resolved the issue.As the description already says, some of the 124 servings includes desserts and drinks (i.e., orange drinks, pudding, etc.), so don't forget to account for that if you are planning for an emergency. Although those might not be as nutritious, I still feel like it is important to have something that you could enjoy during difficult times. For children especially, sweets might be greatly appreciated.

I have not opened or tried any of the product. It is intended for emergency use. However I do rest easier knowing I have it.

With routine blackouts happening in my part of California this time of year, this emergency meal kit is a must for me and my family.If you have the money to spare, you cannot go wrong in being prepared for the worst case scenarios.

Opened the bucket to check the contents after reading other reviews mentioning open packets. Lo and behold, the bucket smelled like brown sugar, and I noticed brown sugar flavoring dust inside the bucket but couldn't locate the open packet. Some of them seem to be vacuum packed while others are not, as seen in my picture. Had to throw one of the pasta alfredos out because it was open. Overall, I'll be keeping these in storage but probably won't buy this brand again due to the sus quality of the packaging.

Bought this for that day, down the road, when something kicks our backside. Easily transportable, with a life straw, this will work anyplace.
