That's Me, Groucho ..The Solo Career of groucho Marx.
Say what you like about 2016, but it was something of a bumper year fro Marx Bros. fans bookwise . Following on from his previous book 'The Annotated Marx Brothers' a guide to all the in-jokes, references, etc in their movies this one concentrates entirely on the subsequent solo career of Groucho Marx . The first such book to do so . Once again, as with the 'Annotated Guide' it is a thoroughly well researched, well written and entertaining look at Groucho's stage, radio and TV and written work as opposed to the classic and extensively documented career of the brothers as a team . There's also a heart felt foreword by 'Groucho' himself aka Frank Ferrante creator and performer of the one man show 'An Evening With Groucho' along with some additional essays by way of an appendix by other Marx afficiando's and devotees' . Delightful. Definitely another one for the Marx buffs and classic comedy fans out there.
