My favorite of all my oil pastels
My absolute favorite oil pastels. Wonderful colors. They layer and blend like a dream. They are firm but not so firm that they are like a crayon. They aren’t as soft as Paul Rubens Haiya or Sennelier oil pastels. The Mungyo really hit a sweet spot for me. I’ve got way more sets of oil pastels than I really need. But the Mungyo are my favorites. They are simply a joy to work with.

Quality for price
Really good quality for the price, it’s my first go at this medium but I thoroughly enjoy these. They blend well, are soft but not too soft, able to be thinned down with oil and still maintain color. Will buy again.

Great deal on quality oil pastels
I’ve been painting for 20 years. My go to easy medium has always been watercolor. I got bored with it. I bought these on a whim, because they were so inexpensive and the colors were fabulous. YouTube videos show them to have very good colorfastness. Blick website shows them to be nontoxic. Although they are not open stock, you can buy additional white or black Pastel‘s from Jerry’s. On YouTube, you can find accomplished artists happily using these along with their Sennelier and Caren D’ache oil pastels. Use touchscreen styluses to blend in addition to your fingers! 10 for five dollars here on Amazon. Enjoy!

Good value for the money.
Medium soft bright colors. The box is not the greatest. Even with the sleeve, the sticks fall out when proper on it side. The extra soft sticks are easier to blend but they don't have much in the way of buying options. I like the Pearl set but the colors are limited.

🥹 Professor Approved Quality Without Breaking The Bank 🫶
I couldn't fathom affording the Sennelier oil pastels that were highly acclaimed, so I browsed through this platform to look for Mungyo Gallery brand oil pastels since the professor had recommended this brand to me when I inquired on affordable options that wouldn't come off as chalky when used on paper, and fortunately enough I found them! This ended up being exactly what I needed for the college level Drawing 2 class and I ended up putting a lot of effort into drawing the details out with a light colored pastel pencil and went over it with the Mungyo Gallery oil pastels and the photograph is the finished result. These glide effortlessly on the paper and blend beautifully as well with either the use of one's finger or a blending stump. I ended up dedicated my oil pastel piece to my deceased pet rat Black Jack (although it may not be noticable at a glance the white ice cream is actually a rat sitting down. I did my best to make the rat as discreet as possible and people ended up having fun trying to figure out what the hidden image within the piece was. Even after the semester was over and done with I had quite a bit of the other colors left over (with the exception of the pastel blue and pink). I highly recommend giving these a try, as a fellow starving artist and broke as heck college student I can vouch that these are worth it especially for the amount of variety you get!

柔らかめのオイルパステルです。 とても描きやすいです。 発色が綺麗で混色も馴染みやすいですね。 柔らかい分減るのも早いですが。

I’m super happy with this set! Such vivid colours with amazing blending and grading. The only downside is: white finishes too quickly, and Mungyo doesn’t sell individual pastels: CARANd’ACHE is available as single pastels for £1.5-£2.0, has similar consistency and blends with Gallery soft oil pastels perfectly. So, at least there is a solution for this deficiency of Mungyo :) Dear Mungyo, can you please consider selling a set of 3-6 only white Gallery soft oil pastel?!

Good packaging and good selection of colours - this is my first time doing oil pastels and the way the product goes on the mi-teintes canson paper is an absolute joy - the marks are beautiful and creamy. I am finding the experience very satisfying and enjoyable. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I am using it in conjunction with Sennelier pastels for finishing touches. It is an excellent companion to the more expensive and creamy brand. I’ll update this review with the progress on my autumnal landscape.
