LANCO 5 Gal. Ultra Siliconizer 100% Acrylic Elastomeric Reflective Roof Coating (Silicone-Modified)

I bought the 5 gallon bucket to coat the roof of a rusted thin metal roof of an old 14 x 70 mobile home. First, I swept, blew off, and washed the roof and let it dry. The next day I used a different product of 100% silicone to cover every seam, and also coated the outside perimeter. I needed another product that is compatible with the 100% silicone, and this product is it, because this also has silicone in it. I used my drill and a paddle mixer to thoroughly stir up the 5 gallons, then I poured half of it into an empty, clean 35 lb plastic container with a lid on it. I took a foam roller attached to an extension, and was quickly able to dip the roller into the bucket and roll away standing up. It went quick, it covers great, and I still had a little bit left over, completely covered the roof, even over the 100% silicone seams.... We were going through a heat wave, and I noticed how much cooler the white color of this product made the inside.... Then rain came, and this product (as well as the 100% silicone), was put to the test.... I had at least two very serious leaks in the roof. This product held up pretty good for a while. It was definitely a lot more quiet.... I could barely hear the rain hitting the roof, whereas before it was always heard and loud ... So.... It held up pretty good for a while, but the worst leak still managed to find a way. No clue where it originates from on the roof, despite everything being thickly coated.... So, I ordered a second 5 gallon bucket of this product. I also had eleven tubes of silicone caulk and added that onto everything sticking up through the roof, as well as around the outside perimeter and caulked every bolt and screw. Despite the first coat of this product being fully dry, by days, when I applied the second coat on top of the first, it seemed to stick to it and pull it up onto my roller.... Pretty much defeats the first coat...so I really skipped it on thick, hoping it wouldn't come up, and it would fully cure.... So days later, it rained and poured like crazy. So far, no leaks. It has rained since then, at least twice heavily, still no leaks yet. Not sure which was the magic bullet so to speak...all the caulk, or the second coat, but....so far, so good. Hopefully this product will last more than two years.... I've tried Everything else....the black liquid rubber, used the mesh and second coat, used the white elastomer stuff, used stop leak, etc etc etc... Nothing worked, nothing lasted.... So hopefully, spending the big bucks on this product, with the silicone, ( that I've never used before-silicone), will be the long-awaited solution. Twenty-five years of going up on my roof every year is ridiculous and expensive....I'll update this review to see how it does with winter ice, snow, melting, etc and see if it leaks, and I'm planning on updating this next summer or fall to see how it holds up.Fingers crossed.

I bought 2 - 5 gallon pails of this product to coat my 32 foot travel trailer. I used this product on another trailer and was truly amazed how easy it was to apply. Goes on blue then turns white when dried. Two coatings was a guarantee that I will have a cooler inside temperature. I recommend this product.

Been in the building maintenance trades for 30 plus years, this is one of the best roof coatings I have came across so far.

Not only did it not cure it has continued to release white crap for months- I was hoping it would be as good as other similar products I have used at a better price. instead it just keeps making a total mess.Buy the better products

Use the product as instructed. Clean area well and make sure it is completely dry. It sealed leaks we had on our roof. I would suggest not spreading it too thin and if you do, put on a second coating a day later.

Have not used it yet but it looks pretty good I will probably buy another one if I need it thank you

The picture shows a product that has a 15 year warranty, and the product I received has a 5 year warranty. I would have bought a different product or searched around a bit more if I had known. The product seems fine, but living in Florida I was looking for a product that lasts as long as possible to the extreme weather conditions. It applies well and seems to be doing the job so far.
