Ordered these for an area over septic field turning into meadow! Seeds sprouted in midsummer planting & bloomed quickly. Added a great spark of yellow, while deterining the deer! Success...

Planted...so waiting for 2022 growing season
I hope these work out. I planted them as a backdrop in my butterfly garden a few weeks ago. I will only know if they work out in about a year, so I hope to circle back here in Fall 2022 and let you all know. In the mean time, they were easy to plant.

Interesting Seeds!
They arrived fine, but look strange! I've never seen seeds in a 'pod' before. I'm glad I noticed that they need to be planted in FALL. That would explain the covering, I'm guessing to protect the seeds? Definitely not something for spring planting. But, we do what we can for the bees and butterflies! I ordered 50, and can't wait to see them bloom. It should add a pretty yellow to the yard in late fall with a boost of healthy nectar.

So far so good!
I live in the Kansas City area and bought these in Fall 2019. Planted them in a large outdoor container in full sun in November, and left them alone. Almost all of them germinated around March 21st and they’re still growing now, slowly but surely in late April. They will probably take off soon.Hoping they stay strong through the summer and fall! I’m told they could flower this fall, but it might be next year. We will see!
