I did not dislike anything about this book. Recipes are very good and taste wonderful even when you add your on little touches. This is a good book to have on your cookbook shelf.

I like this little book. Getting biscuits and scones just right is not an easy task. Especially for someone who didn't grow up with eating biscuits and scones let only making them. Nice resource. Am looking at the rest of the series of southern recipes collection.

This book has a lot of biscuits and scone recipes. Many I am not interested in as I never use shortening or other ingredients, but there are some golden pepites like the flavorful sheddard biscuits or the ones with basil plus dried tomatoes and if I prefer the roquefort on a tartine it does not prevent you from baking biscuits with blue cheese, on the contrary. Half of the recipes are salty, with bacon for example, and the rest is sweety😁There are biscuit with coconut, cranberries, raisins, orange, lemon, etc. My favorites are the cheddar bicuits and the one with herbs for aperitif...very easy to make, but double the recipe because they are like an apparition on the table...a mirage basically. Just a blink and they are gone!!!!Sincerely I recommend the book despite many recipes I will not do.

I was disappointed in this book. I had hoped for more of a "how to" guide. The biscuit recipes are not interesting but I really like the scone recipes. I think the money spent in the book was worth it for the scone recipes.
