The birds like it
My four society finches are enjoying this food when they’re not laying in it! Seriously though, seems high quality and I was glad to see they sell it in larger containers, will be ordering again.

Healthy Birds!
My birds are always much healthier when I feed this as opposed to seed mixes. I used to get this at my local Petsmart, but they quit carrying it so I switched to a seed mix, and my birds started to look really run down and lost a lot of feathers... They were only eating the seeds they liked, so they weren't getting enough nutrients. After a couple weeks back on these granules I noticed a significant improvement. I have also always given them romaine lettuce and mealworms most days, and they still suffered when I was feeding them seed mixes rather than these granules.

Seems to work fine for doves.
Doves swallow their food whole as opposed to shelling their seeds like parrots and finches do; likewise, they devour pellets whole. I had originally been purchasing cockatiel pellets of the same brand--since they lack a dove variation, as far as I've been able to find--only to realize they were a bit too large for one of my birds.I debated between finch and parakeet, then eventually bit the bullet and ordered this. They are not so much pellets as a sort of grainy, calcium grit-like dust, but my doves love it and eat plenty. The male had stopped cooing, something he does when there's a change to his diet or cage he dislikes, but he's noisy as he's ever been since I switched to these finch pellets. I may decide to try the parakeet somewhere down the road, but regardless, this works for any people whom happen to own doves and are searching for an alternative for our too often overlooked birds. My advice for the sake of your wallet and your bird's weight is to measure and monitor just how much he or she is eating, since they'll chow down on as much as you give them and then some if allowed.Sidenote: Diamond doves and mourning doves also eat with gusto.

Some like it, some don't
My finches love these pellets. My canary is very picky, and isn't eating it. Some days I've only fed him this, and it sits in his feeder untouched.

Amazing Product For a Horrible Eater !!
This is a wonderful product !!! I have a male Java Finch who was the world's worst eater. He would pick out the white millet seed of his finch mix and toss the rest out of the bowl.He wouldn't eat any vegetables at all.The ideal thing for him would be to try him on pelleted food,as they are a complete diet.I ordered Lefeber's finch pellets and offered it in its own bowl.He ate his regular seed and glanced one eye at the pellets. After two days I saw him eating the pellets and making sounds he never made before.....sounds of complete joy!!!! Needless to say,he never touched his old seed mix again....he is completely on the pellets...and loving them!!I am so happy he is getting all the nutrition he needs....he is a wonderful member of the family, and he looks and feels great!!He sings alot and is way more active now...Thankyou Dr.Lafeber !!!!!

More like granules/fines, not pellets.
Lafeber's is certainly a trustworthy brand, and I really appreciate this naturally flavored take on fine pellets for tiny birds - but alas, our finches won't eat it. The quality is there, and our birds are accustomed to pellets (they love the Harrison's organic fine and super fine adult lifetime formulas), but they didn't seem thrilled about the particle size of this feed. Our pigeon wouldn't eat it either (he also eats Harrison's fine pellets). Probably will try and sneak this into our chickens' feed, as I know it is good feed. Our birds just seem to prefer a formed pellet over a crumble type.

My Finches Love This
My friend gave us two young Zebra Finches from her last clutch. They were two months old when we got them. They had only been on a seed diet.I am a firm believer that overall health begins with nutrition. I decided to give them pellet because I know it contains most if not all of their nutritional requirements. I chose this particular brand of pellet because I only heard good things about it. The ingredients were also in line with what I was looking for in a pellet. When I first gave this to my finches I mixed it evenly with a high quality seed. They took to it immediately. They ate just as much of this pellet as they did their seed.I now give them a diet that consist of 90% pellet.

My Cockatiel loves it
My birds wouldn’t eat regular pellets (only seeds), so I tried this for a little more fun. My cocktail very much enjoys it, while my finch is still skeptical. This is a great product for switching your birds from seed to pellet.
