Focusing the laser is easy, the ability to see *exactly* where the image will be engraved is excellent. You can position with such accuracy. Super easy assembly and set up. I look forward to doing a lot with it. If you work with Photoshop every day like I do and understand imaging well-you can see even more potential. But you don’t have to have that background to use this excellent machine. Assembly required installing just 4 bolts and 8 screws -- Need about 15 minutes. There are quick demo videos on the thumb drive for assembly, online use, and offline use. For offline engraving, it only accepts files in BMP form and they must be produced by the included Laser2.5.exe program. You can create BMP files with another application but they need to be modified by Laser 2.5 exe to add print size and then saved again. This engraver is a great entry level try or for someone who just needs to engrave periodically. I'm a business so I need something faster and more consistent and with a better software interface.
