Packaged well , came inside a box.
I usually buy 2 cubic foot potting mixes from nurseries because I do a lot of planting in the elevated pots and platform boxes I have made my garden to prevent my old back complaining too much, but this year I decided to let others do the heavy lifting and just ordered it from Amazon, and this 1.5 cubic foot mix was perfect...and to be clear, I had never used this brand before and was skeptical, but, the bag was perfectly sealed (always a good sign buying potting mixes), when opened the aroma was as expectd, no moldy smells, no dried out areas, both yo d signs also. It poured well from the bag, compost was evenly blended and it is helping 9 veggies and 12 flowering plants grow quite well, in AA wet February in chiller than normal, So California this year. So...overall analysis ...pretty good! If I remember to update this after everything gets to the picking stage, I will I likely will buy more of this brand . Thank you seller.

Works Great for Starting Seeds
I recently decided to start a vegetable and fruit garden in pots and a raised bed. But before I can transplant, I needed to start some seeds. I purchased some small cups with holes in the bottom and a plastic cover with holes to help hold in moisture. I add the Espoma Organic Raised Bed Mix, lightly watered, made a hole in the middle of the soil and put in seeds. I started watermelon, cantaloupe, kale, collards, mini bell peppers, strawberries and cucumber. In one cup, I put the bottom of a stalk of celery. Every single seed has sprouted and growing very well. Even the celery has a bunch of green leaves in the center. I purchased the soil specifically because buying all the items needed to have good soil is expensive. This soil has everything you need to ensure your garden has a good start. The only downside is the cost. But like I said buying everything separate costs more and it would sit in storage during the summer. Regardless, if you can afford a bag, I highly recommend getting the soil.

Too soon to tell.
Used in first raised beds. Too soon to tell. Second year is suppose to be better. Doubt that next summer will be any cooler.

Don’t purchase!
Garden Answer recommended this soil and we bought over $2K worth of this soil and it was all garbage. Many bags had some white looking stuff that contaminated our raised beds and killed all the onions. The soil has trash and it’s very loose and it’s more like mulch than soil. We had to pay to get rid of this mess and bought new soil from a local store. I don’t recommend this at all. Stick to your local nursery and don’t be fooled by the good reviews!
