The lower ball joint Castle Nut suffered a critical failure as soon as weight was placed on the wheel.After being tightened down to torque spec, and pinned, the driver's side lower ball joint castle nut thread stripped straight out of the nut as soon as weight was placed on the wheel. The threads from the nut were left wrapped around the ball joint bolt. The Castle Nut flew off the ball joint and bounced around the room.I replaced with an OEM castle nut.Also the upper ball joint mounts fit tightly to say the least. Be prepared to do a thorough job of cleaning the area where these mount. Does not fit slightly off and does not install correctly.

I have had problems with other ball joints from Detroit Axle. And with these Toyota upper ball joints I had to grind uppers at all mount holes to make them fit. Will not buy any other parts from this vendor.
