Steampunk Black Bowler Hat with Black Goggles – Adults Gothic Fancy Dress Victorian Hat Accessory

Ordered for my first foray into the world of Steampunk. I wasn't expecting much for the price, especially as I'd seen the price of other hats and that this included the goggles. I ordered 2 - the black bowler with bronze goggles and the (short) satin top hat with silver goggles as I couldn't decide which to get. Both hats are very basic (unsurprisingly) but they are sturdy (don't expect lining although the satin one is satin on all the inside as well as the outside - but then it is only 6.99!) And they are material not plastic.I was impressed by the goggles tho' and one thing to note, that I didn't realize till my friend told me, is that the front bit of the lenses screw off and there is a bit of clear glass as well as a washer and the tinted lens. This means that you can put things between them if you want to personalize them (as most Steampunkers probably would)I did knock off one star as the threads on the silver goggles aren't quite right they are a bit hard to undo. The top edge of the satin hat also looked like it had had a bump, but as it's likely to get a few more with me and was not expensive, I haven't bothered to look at getting it replaced but felt that I couldn't say it was perfect when it wasn't.

I bought this hat complete with goggles for a fancy dress outfit for Hallowe'en (yes, I know this is probably cosplay oriented but I really didn't fancy being the 47th "zombie teacher" at the event...).I paired these up with a purple tailcoat, steampunk mask, high collar white shirt, cravat, and spats (and some fake weaponry of course - no gentleman should be seen without a sword/cane combo and a pirate pistol...).I got an absolute shedload of positive comments for the goggles and hat combo - the fact it is not quite as tall as a top hat puts it into the Mr. Darcy realms of style - which I quite like (and so did a lot of others).For the money, it was a no-brainer for a one-off event. The fact that nothing broke on them, everybody tried them on, everybody loved them, and they are now sat in the wardrobe waiting for the next fancy dress event, means they were an absolute bargain.I can't fault the quality or the price - now to buy the "extras" that will make me look like an walk-on actor from Dr. Who - who says cosplay isn't fun?

I bought this on a whim for my son. I went for cheap as he's taking it to camp so I wasn't expecting much. I was wrong. An excellent item. I assumed the glasses would be thin plastic and for decoration only but no, they were much sturdier and can indeed be worn as glasses. All in all, very impressed

I Bought this as part of my son's Halloween costume. It arrived quickly and well packaged.This feels and looks really well made.This also comes with Steampunk goggles which have interchangeable coloured lenses.The ribbon band which goes around the hat is attached with a spot glue and looks like there's no attempt to hide this/cover it up... However it's under £12!

This was one of those last minute Halloween ideas for a costume accessory. Let's be honest for what it is it absolutely fitted the bill and was delivered super quickly at a very competitive price. So with that all in mind it was a great buy

For the price I really wasn't expecting this to be much good, but I was hoping it might just be OK for a one-off steampunk event I was going to. Wow! The quality is much, much higher than I was expecting. The bowler hat is nice and firm and the goggles require close inspection to tell that they are actually plastic, not metal.

Really good quality product, cannot wait to wear it for the evening planned.1 slight oversight was the incorrect goggles sent with the top hat but 1 email and it was sorted very quickly and very efficiently. Thank you for that.

Fantastic, brilliant value for money. Looks great, feels great, fits great (Adult male) turned heads at fancy dress everyone wanted to try itbon and try the goggles. Excellent all round!!
