Zondervan NIV Study Bible, Large Print

Love my new WORD!! I wear glasses and the the regural print was becoming difficult so I decided to purchase a large print. This came in 2 days as promised. The print size is perfectly large! Maps, study notes, concordance Index all large print.

I ordered two versions of the Bible to compare since I saw reviews all over the board. I order the Bonded Leather Large Print as well as the Top Grain Leather Indexed.As far as the leather goes, no noticeable difference between the two. The Top Grain may be slightly better but I didn't have an issue with either.I really preferred the Indexed version of the two. Even though I know where all the books of the Bible are, it takes a little time to find one without the index because of the Index and Concordance in the back of the Bible which throws off where I think each book is.The game changer here is the Large Print vs. Normal Print versions. The large print version has a crazy size difference versus the regular. It's like carrying a large college textbook around. Also the text in the regular print was plenty big, and bigger than any other Bible I've owned. Only those who really struggle with vision should consider the large text because the size trade off isn't worth it otherwise.I recommend the regular sized text and indexed versions of this Bible in whatever leather style you'd like. I would have given this 5 stars if it met that criteria. The Bible in general is great and the study notes are perfect for me to reference whenever I am unsure about what I'm reading.

I absolutely LOVE this NIV Study Bible in Large Print. I love the red letter edition. It arrived within a week. I am confused as to why I did not get indexed pages... but that sure isn't a deal-breaker. This Bible is SO FULL of exciting stuff that I did not put it down for hours after I opened it! There is the 200 page Concordance, the numerous beautiful color maps, and dozens and dozens of color charts/graphs showing all kinds of information that you could ever possibly want to know (i.e. all the Parables of Jesus and which authors wrote about which ones or all the Miracles of Jesus and which of the Gospels to find those, etc). The layout of the text is as follows: scripture on the upper half of the page (in the standard double column format) with the study notes on the lower half. The bonded leather cover is nice, and I do not find the thin pages to be a problem as others have suggested since I am not used to having a previous Bible with heavier weight paper. The size of the Bible is not too huge for me either as was also suggested by some... It is 10.75"x7.5"x2" and weighs over 5 pounds and I do actually take it to Bible study with me. The only problem (and it would never keep me from purchasing this Bible...) is the lack of Bible covers available in size xxl to go with this. I only found about 5 to choose from; none of which were the least bit feminine. I went with the Wordkeeper as it is a perfect fit (no swimming around). All in all though.... VERY pleased with this purchase!!!

I was Called to be a Teacher of the Bible and Gospels many years ago as I am 65. After 15 years of teaching in our local church, and 12 years directing our Prison Ministry Program; I am truly astounded with your fusion of the NIV Life Application Bible and current archeology. I have a very solid foundation in archeology and regional anthropology of the Levant during an extensive period of time prior to the Roman occupation through Josephus at Masada. The NIV Study Bible illustrations are in exquisite color with photos from ongoing research site. The use of the "Roman Forum" in the "Book of Romans" where Paul physically stood and spoke. The NIV Study Bible collection of maps is unparalleled with color graphics providing nation's in their Biblical names highlighted, and combined with overlays of commentary. I have already ordered several NIV Study Bibles, with one specially for my Son. When it arrived, my Step-Grandson in his late-20's flipped through it telling his Dad..."that he (Dad) was not getting it back, this is the first Bible he had ever found interesting and fun to read". I was floored and have ordered and send our three more. I am reading it each evening to a another Vet who is dying and slowly coming to know Christ over the phone two states away - we served 3 years together on a ship. We read together with his copy in hand, and his questions are answered by the commentary or by me. Thank you Zondervan and your research staff who prepared this incredible edition. The most comprehensive Bible I’ve ever owned. Just got it today it was recommended by a Biblical teacher that I have a lot of respect for, Dr Bill Creasy. The print size is very good for who use cheaters it’s big enough so I don’t have to use mine. I just skimmed through it to see if the negative comments had any weight to me it was perfect. The one thing is true it is HEAVY. Other than that I most definitely found the definitive version of the Bible I will use for Bible study for years to come.

I highly recommend purchasing this very well done Bible.....BUT......I only gave it 3 stars... The pages of this Bible are mostly stuck together.....perhaps due to the quality of the paper, or the color maps or both.....In other words....you will have to have a lot of patience and go page by page and loose them one by one.....I will keep the Bible because it was exactly what I wanted, but I am very disappointed on the quality control people that were supposed to make sure that this page sticking would not happen. An elderly person, would have not been able to cope with this problem very easily...so no...I am not very well pleased that the quality control was so poor that they did not fix this problem before selling the Bible........

I love the way the information is structured.This book is easily 4 inches deep. Very heavy for such thin pages. Print is large enough even though my current prescription is not strong enough.Both old and new testament.I would have paid more to have both be separate books to make each thinner.Simplistic cover. No smell with this faux leather.

Previously bought normal print size and loved the format, extensive and colourful notes, so decided to go large print and this is superb. Quality is excellent and concept is well realised in this large print version which opens flat and sits well on knees or desk top. Recommended.

As promised, the Study Bible is large print. The commentary is smaller than the text, but still readable. I was disappointed that the pages seem a bit flimsy, and the spine of the book is particularly flexible in a flimsy way. Fine for casual reading, but don't buy as a family heirloom or for serious study.

This is a very excellent bible and when it comes to studying this can enterain any bible scholar. I recommend it highly. With this bible you are spoiled for knowledge and gives you a opportunity to grow in your bible knowledge making bible study exciting - I have bought four of these and three without large print as gifts. Again and excellent bible!

No I wish to return item, it is not has advertised, should have been Lethe print this is too small to read.

Ideal for someone who like most of us our sight is not so good as we age. The notes and the tabs to identify thewhereabouts of individual books is excelent as well.
