Superior Spider-man 5: The Superior Venom (Marvel Now!)

I think Dan Slott's Superior Spiderman series is a great read and very worthy of one of the best runs in history. it is refreshing to see how Doc Ock reacts to the many situations we have previously seen peter parker in. I wont spend too much time on the plot of this volume because the other reviwers hit it right on the money: this volume is just as good as the last 4. However i was greatly disappointed by Humberto Ramos' art. For me he always seems to hit and miss. Some books i think he does a pretty nice job. Others i think his art is a bit too cartoonish for my taste and that detracts from a good story. His art in this volume is okay but ive seen him do better. if you like his art then this book will be a five star read. if you dont then this book will be good only for itsstories

Dan Slott is the main component in the masterpiece that is Superior Spider-Man. The story is intricate and you don't want to miss out on how things happened before here, so make sure to read all other previous works of Superior to really get the story. With Superior Venom, things are starting to come to a close, SpOck's world is going down hill and fast. How much longer can he stay in control? As a whole, Superior has three rotating artists, with Humberto Ramos at the helm for the entirety of this book. Ramos' art is cartoony, animae-ish, easily recognizable from any other artist working at Marvel, and that's only a positive. I really enjoy his take on Spidey and the cast. I can't recommend Superior Spider-Man enough. Don't miss out.

Vol 5 of Superior Spider-Man is a great continuation to the continuing Doc Ock being the Webbed Wall Crawler series.I've been dying to get this since Agent Venom ended and they said he'd appear in this volume.In this volume they're revealing that indeed someone important is returning to the Spider-Series, but not at full capacity.Surprised to see that Agent Venom held his own for a second against the supposedly smarter Spider.Can't wait for Superior Spider-Man Vol 6, and Agent Venom teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy.It is going to be a GREAT year for comics!get this!

Things are escalating so quickly in this series and I absolutely love it! Superior Venom was such a cool addition to the story and I love that the Avengers still continue to stay involved in the story . The Goblin War was pretty great too! Dan Slott sure knows how to write comicsm

The goblin story doesn't seem super interesting here I've been wanting to learn what spiderman 2099 has been up to. Good to see Miguel in this issue

Spiderman is by far my favorite Marvel superhero but this run of the superior Spiderman main me love the superior Spider Man run.you want to see a darker Spider Man story read the superior Spider Man

Another fun installment. I'm coming up on the final stretch of the series.I've also decided I need to read more Venom stories.

The Superior Spider-man vol.5 Superior Venom contains The Superior Spider-man issues 22,23,24,25,26 and an annual.The Superior Spider-man issues 22,23,24,25 is The Darkest Hours, drawn by Humberto Ramos, who was on fire! His art, designs, storytelling are all phenomenal.I didn't read the annual, cos Humberto Ramos didn't draw it.

I bought this as a birthday gift for a friend, he's going to love it, because he loved the first 4. I've read the 6 volumes already and honestly, Spider-Man has never been cooler than when Doc Ock took control of the whole shebang. Buy this. I wish this story had went longer.

Great read

Note: This review is for the American edition of Superior spiderman volume 5 which includes issue #26 which is not included in the British Panini reprint.This story arc follows SSM's encounter with agent venom as well as the fallout in Otto's social life as his methods as Spiderman draw more ire from his Aunt May.Ramos' art work is as good as ever and Slott keeps things entertaining as we close in on the climax of the series. The annual included here is good but not quite up to the same standard as the main issues. Issue #26 is a prelude to the final story arc Goblin nation which sees the Green goblin's rise to power come complete.Overall if you've been following SSM and enjoying it then definately pick this up. If you've not started reading then this isn't a good place to start and you're better off picking up the first Volume and if you don't like this series then there's nothing here that will change your mind. 'Nuff said!

Eine super Fortsetzung der kürzeren Geschichte. Es mag manch einer etwas dran auszusetzen haben, aber für mich als Gelegenheitsfan von Spidey bin glücklich, mal einen Rahmen für eine Originstory zu bekommen, wo jemand die Heldenrolle komplett falsch versteht und somit dem Leser auch nochmal klarmacht, was die Grundbestandteile sind.Zeichnungen sind gut, Länge auch.
