The picture shows the numbers as bright white, just like the hands. But unless it's backlit (which it won't be) the cut-out numbers are shadows and therefore dark, next to dark wood. Which makes them hard to read AND the white hands look too white in comparison. Simple solution to the manufacturer: Use a light colored wood with dark hands. Then the shadow numbers will contrast, match the hands, and all will be well.

This clock is very difficult to read if you're not directly in front of it. The inside edge of the numbers are brown, blending in with the front. Also, it's made of MDF (particleboard) with a wood grain printed on the front. The edges are all exposed MDF.

Love the way this looks, might get another one. Love the “plainness” of it.. yet still so nice.

Great little product that works well near to some wooden bookcases. Wanted something simple and classic, and this fits the bill.

This is a lightweight, accurate, and completely quiet clock. The second hand moves in a steady motion, as opposed to a "ticking" motion. There is no noise at all. The only drawback, is that the numbers are hollow. So, if you don't have a light source behind it, they are more difficult to see, but not impossible. Just FYI - the numbers are NOT painted white, as the picture might depict.

I really like this clock more than I thought I would. It’s quiet, looks good and the numbers are larger. It seems to be the correct time still since I started it.

This is different and very attractive on wall

The picture shows white letters HOWEVER they are not white. They are just cut out numbers and if you are putting it on a dark wall, you will not see the numbers. The rest of it is ok so I plan to tape white paper on the back to help show the numbers. This is why I will give it only 3 stars instead of 5.

The colour of the clocks is quite dark and that's why there's a good contrastThey looks like minimalistic style
