Petmate Microban Pet Bed Petmate Deluxe Pillow Bed with Microban, Gusseted BLUE/Gold Striped Chenille, 27-inch X 36-inch

My 60 lb greyhound loves it. She was sleeping on a pad/ bed with not much padding and was afraid this would be too high for her (a little finicky) But I was wrong. It's about 4" thick with a sturdy cover that is well made and the coloring is great, however it's been about two months and I'm noticing an indentation where she lays, so it seems like it's getting mashed down. It still has some thickness to it however. Will report back on that end. The outside cover is washable and it also has another gauze type zipperable inside cover to keep the pillow in shape. The pillow inside feels like wool to the touch. It also has a plush bottom, so you can flip it over as well. Regarding the pillow, I figure if it does get mashed down, then just put another pillow or memory foam inside the outer cover, as it's wide and deep enough to get a replacement in easy!

Our 85-lb lab/bloodhound mix took right to this bed. She jumped on it before it hit the ground. This bed, with it's earthy colors, is very nice-looking and it's also sturdy. Sadie has been known to tear up her beds, but she has not even tried to destroy this one; she loves it too much. I've noticed that she seems to dream more since sleeping on this bed....LoL. I've washed the outer cover and it washed well and went right back over the inner pillow easily. I'm thinking of ordering another one of these because this is a really good price (around $34) for such a large and good quality bed.

This is the third Petmate bed of this style and size that I’ve purchased for my 50-lb. dog in the last several years. She still uses the first two, but we wanted to update to a new bed, since they do lose some of their fluffiness over time (the bed, not the dog). These beds are attractive (we have two of the brown/tan models, and the newest is predominantly grey/blue) and relatively easy to wash and dry. (I vacuum them with a pet vac before machine-washing on gentle, to remove most of the crazy amount of hair she sheds). Overall, I’m quite pleased with these beds, since they DON’T have the cedar chips with the accompanying strong scent, and my dog always looks so comfortable on them. In the end, if she’s happy, I’m happy.

I bought this as a second bed for my 12 year old 80 lbs. pitbull/boxer mix with arthritis. She loves this bed and sleeps on it comfortably. The size is great giving her space enough to stretch out. It is not too soft and not too hard, just right. One side is very plushy and soft, the other side is cool fabric for the hot days. Although her companion and our 3 cats are using it frequently too, it has held up well and the filling has not collapsed as in so many other beds we had. The color is very stain resistant, and washing the cover (I use cold setting and mild detergent) is a breeze.

EDIT: With some time past I can state that this cover is very week. Dog slept on a cheep K-mart pillow for years and never put a hole in it. In a month or so he already clawed some holes, and "strung out" the puffy top into yarn. Now I wonder if I can buy a better cover?For a 23 lbs dog it's like a small man on a King sized down bed. Zipper cover and machine washable. It's pretty cold in the mountains of Jackson Hole and this little Jack Russel cross mutt fell in love with it day one. Just sinks in like a 47 geese comforter alla John Denver. Maybe more fill needed for heavy dogs (65lbs+?) on ice cold floors. Recommended and bigger than expected compared to under size competitor claims. Maybe a bit to big for me. Scrunched into a wall it's still 36x34 inches long (92x86cm)

I purchased this bed as a replacement for one that ripped and subsequently became a shredded "toy". I was very pleased by the quality of the product. The color was true to the picture provided. The pad actually exceeded my expectations and the cost was very reasonable for the product delivered. The outer cover zips off and washes well. I turned it inside out and did not have any trouble. I am ordering a second bed because our 2 Labs 'fight' over this bed. The loser sleeps on a smaller, and apparently less comfortable, bed in the dog room.

The bed is not as it is listed online. We were very unhappy upon receiving this item. It wasn't soft, and it felt like there wasn't enough stuffing in the pillow. Plus, the stuffing that was in the pillow, was hard and puffy in certain places, and then none in others. Despite our better judgement, we put it on the floor to have Ace test it out. Turns out, he liked the floor better. We returned the pillow and gave Ace back his old one. He's a much happier boy now.

Our 10 mo. old puppy likes to take her beds and drag them around and shake them out. This is her third bed. She got into this one and made a huge hole. That's when I realized that the bedding was a combo of pillow stuffing and wood chips, NOT FOAM. I'm sure the wood chips keep the bed smelling fresh, but it probably wasn't very comfortable for her to sleep on this bed. I'm not sure if this is a common practice, but I wasn't thrilled to find this out. So this would explain why so many people complained that the bed didnt' seem to offer any resistance/cushion to the weight of the dog.Also, the liner is very thin (as in it's almost some weird mesh), and given the wood chips, I think that you would get a lot of splinters trying to remove and replace the bed inside the liner when you washed the liner. Therefore, I would say this isn't machine washable.

I am very happy with this as well as my two pugs love it. It is small enough not to be in the way but large enough for both of them to sleep on.

Excellent bed! My dog loves it! We bought the large, even though he is medium size as he now has plenty of room to stretch.
