It lays flat. It is think and pillow like. I think it's a great value. I've had it for a year and bought a second one for in front of my dryer. I haven't damaged it yet so I'd say it's durable. I think it prevents slips if anything because I walk in my socks. My plumber loved it when he had to fix under my sink. I payed it so he could pay on that instead of the cold floor. He was so happy about that.

I have been wanting a cushioned mat for the kitchen for a while and finally purchased this one. I initially was going to get the smaller mat but am glad that I got the longer one. It is perfect both for washing dishes and other tasks at the sink in addition to being long enough to cover the counter area where I do my food prep. This mat provides enough cushion to really help with lower back pain and foot and knee fatigue without being too thick that you sink into it. I wasn't quite sure about the color but I really like it with my cabinets and stainless appliances and it blends well with my light lavender paint trim. I highly recommend the purchase of this cushioned anti-fatigue mat.

I got it to get some relief for the many hours spent in the kitchen! I’ve only had it a week or so but I love it. It’s very comfortable and I hate having to step off it, my feet don’t like it either!! I have not cleaned it yet but the surface appears to be very easy to clean, or to just do a quick spot touch for something that spilled. I also don’t know how durable it is since I’ve not had it long, but it seems to be a strong, thick material that should last a long time. I might rotate it and shift it occasionally just so the same areas aren’t the only ones used the most. Overall, very happy with it so far!!

The rug was very narrow, we will reorder to get a size that fits the kitchen sink better. The rug was also a darker gray than the photo shows.

Ordered this mat in grey. Given the amazing price point I figured I’d get a thin mat that looked nothing like the photo. My fiancé and I were pleasantly surprised when we unboxed it. It was thick with a decent non-slip bottom. It is long enough it reaches from our kitchen sink to dish washer. It is easy to clean, durable (pet friendly) and helps my foot pain (plantar fasciitis). Would definitely recommended to anyone looking for a decent anti fatigue mat.

This is the second one of these I've bought. The first lasted 3 years and I'm so excited to replace it with exactly the same design. It's beautiful and so very comfortable.
