Irresistible to Discus!
My 5" Orange Pigeon Blood Discus went on a hunger strike and refused to eat any of its favorite foods. I tried absolutely everything I could think of before I came across this food. I was starting to fear the worst but I figured it was worth a try. The moment the food hit the water the Discus was racing around eating everything it could. I'm not sure what it is about this food but my Discus almost immediately got its appetite back. Maybe it's the smell? It does smell differently than standard fish food. After a few days of just feeding this I tried feeding it's original favorite foods and it ate those too. Something in this food was able to get my Discus interested in food again and for that I am extremely thankful!

Great Quality
My young discus love this food. It seems to have a better quality then most for the price. I also like that the flakes are quite large so the mess in your tank is minimal.

Good quality food, pricey, but not egregious
My Discus are very picky, I kind of knew they wouldn't like this already because they like the thicker home made food I make them. So it did not work for them, it might after some effort, but they spit it out after trying it then refused to eat it again after a couple days. The Angelfish tank mates on the other hand think it is the best thing that has every graced that water.

Takes Time!
I don’t like the way my plants deteriorated when I fed the discus beef heart flakes. The fish took time to like beef heart flakes and they took time to like this expensive $10, 3.5oz bottle of discus flakes. My pictures show 2 foods I rotate feeding my discus. They love it! They go right for it, they’re less aggressive and the water stays cleaner longer! The flakes don’t cloud the water. You can smell the garlic and other seasonings when opening the lid. It stays fresh! I used a whole bottle and I’ve started on my second bottle. It didn’t last very long but my fish are getting fat from eating it so I’m happy for them. I’m constantly looking for new foods to feed them because you never know when a shortage will happen. For now everyone seems happy with this. Everyone means all the fish in the pictures and videos I share on YouTube Tina Phillips adroit Living… too many to list. I think I need more time to see if I notice any effects of probiotics compared to the previous foods. So, I will update this review like I have with other reviews I’ve shared on Amazon. Thus far I would recommend using this green flake. I hope my fish retain their natural color.

Only flake that has worked for me so far
I have had discus for over eight months and most of mine have done very well. I don't feed this all the time. I use frozen blood worms, frozen beef heart, and Hikari frozen discus as well. I couple of my discus were raised in beef heart so I tried these. I was pretty successful from the start, even my most finicky went for it. If I was to have any issue is that when I vacuum the gravel the waste is red. It does not color the water though. I have been unsuccessful with pellets and most flakes are too small.

Greasy food
This food is a hit or miss. Some days my fish like it and some days they spit it out. It leaves a lot of grease on the waters surface. I feed a large variety of foods, not sure I would go out of my way to keep this stocked. There might be better flake options out there.

Fish Love it!
When you open the lid, it has a yummy garlic aroma. My fresh & salt water fish all devour this stuff. No, I don't sprinkle it on my linguini ;-)
