A very important book
Felicity Warner has written several books on End of Life, but to my mind, this one is the best so far. Whether preparing for your own death, that of a loved one, or if you aspire to be in service to others, there really is no other book like this. It covers everything from the physical aspects of dying, to the emotional and metaphysical. The focus of her work is to provide a situation that is safe, comfortable (cozy is her word), and sacred. The goal is for everyone involved to have as profound an experience as possible, because after all, it truly is!

Caring for yourself while caring for the patient
This book was refreshing. As one who sits with the dying I appreciate her insight and her reminders to care for yourself as well. This is a transition for all of us and we oftentimes consider only the dying. Preparing for the death involves each person in their lives and our care needs to include all of us.

Amazing
A gentle, easy to read book about death & dying. I read it from cover to cover in one go. It's like a practical guide, and although no one close to me is dying, I now feel more prepared for when that happens. I also work in bereavement, & am sure it will help me in understanding the complexities of the recently bereaved. This should be on a compulsory book list for everyone to read!

I work in care so great book to read.
I have been helping people to die in a stressfree way for 17 years. After speaking to a friend I realised I've been naturally being a soul midwife all this time. I cared for my grandparents when they died. I believe in spiritual side of life and my grandparents and clients have given me evidence that what I believe is true. You do not need to spiritual or religious to read this book. But everyone should read it as you will get comfort from this book, and it will happen to us all.

Wonderful book
Wonderful book , written from the heart with very helpful advice . She shares her knowledge and experience openly and with great warmth .To be highly recommended as an insightful , practical source of information that helps to de mystify the process of dying .I particularly like the fact that it's very person centred - everyone's journey is unique to them and this fact is honoured snd respected throughout the book .

A Safe Journey Home
This was a very thought rendering book.Worth taking the time to read. Not overbearing. Giving a thoughtful message that is of value to carers and the bereaved alike.I got a sense of satisfaction from reading this, because my work draws me close to terminal people regularly and I recently suffered the loss of my own Mum.I feel that noone can have enough help and guidance at this special time and yet it is not intrusive.I would strongly recommend anyone to try and read it, if just for peace of mind.
