As the title says, this product shines if you use this as a sleeve only or put this into a messenger bag or backpack with no padding or just the laptop itself.The extra pockets come in handy for small accessories. The Dell AC Adapter can squeeze in there but the bulge is huge and the sleeve is more difficult to hold.Consider a sleeve with handles if you need to haul just your laptop, AC charger and maybe a mouse and a few accessories.I can’t rate the water resistance since I never took it outside in the rain, but it seems like it would be better than nothing, even in a downpour.Because of the added padding bulk, this product is less practical as a secondary protection sleeve if your bag already has padding and your laptop is already tight in there solo. I have to remove the sleeve to use my smaller dell 15.5 canvas messenger unless I want to ignore the designated laptop compartment.
