Great long-lasting pump
Installed on a home improvement store quality pressure washer (Excell 2300 by DeVilbiss) with a Briggs & Stratton 6.5 HP engine. I replaced the cheap original pump which cracked at about 50 hours with one of these. I bought one of these pumps in 2007 and it lasted until a couple of years ago after about 300+ hours of use and I am just replacing it with this one now.Pros: Commercial grade quality and durability, easy to install if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and can turn a wrench.Cons: Instructions assume you already know how to adjust the unloader valve (it appears to be adjusted for maximum rated pressure which will probably work fine if you have an 8+ hp engine). YouTube videos abound but I will describe how to do it under Tips.Tips:1. Once you get the old pump off the engine (the shaft is likely to be rusted), clean the rust off of the shaft with emery paper or a wire brush and then put a coat of anti-seize on the engine shaft before installing the new pump onto engine.2. Adjusting the unloader valve: Once the pump installed, connect a garden hose to the pump inlet and the wand hose to the pump outlet. Turn the water supply on and bleed the air out of the system. The screw adjustment on the side of the pump (see photo) is for adjusting the unloader valve. Break the lock nut loose and remove it since it will fall off while you are trying to adjust it. With a flat-blade screwdriver, back the screw out (counter-clockwise) a couple of turns. Start the engine and let it run for a few seconds to warm up. If the engine won't start, back the screw out a couple more turns. Once the engine is running and the speed is stable, start turning the unloader adjustment screw clockwise until there is a slight decrease in engine speed (engine noise will change). Test the setting by squeezing the wand trigger a few times to make sure the engine doesn't stall when you release the trigger. This adjustment should not take more than a minute or so to perform. Shut the engine off. Thread the nut back onto the adjusting screw and tighten the nut while holding the adjusting screw with the screwdriver.IMPORTANT: Do not allow the pump to operate for more than about a minute without squeezing the trigger to release the pressure. The pump will overheat.

if you think you might return it dont buy it. They will steal your money.
So the motor on my troy bilt pressure washer was fried. Thought it was the pump so I ordered a pump from this company for the price listed. however I didnt need the pump and I returned it to the company. This company issued me a $0.01 refund and stole my money from me. I was kind of thinking twice about ordering from them due to the fact the existing water pump on my troy bilt was blown and it was made by the same conpany but I decided hey what can go wrong. The company would refund my money or replace it. The refund of 1 penny is i guess supposed to be a joke or they are just thrives in hard times.

OEM Replacement
This replaced a worn pump on a Husky (Home Depot) Briggs & Stratton gas engine powered pressure washer that had previously been replaced, so the installation itself was easy. Make sure your new pump has the same layout and orientation as the one you are replacing. Prior to installation, you should inspect the engine's output shaft to make sure there is no rust or gouges, which will make it difficult to assemble. The pump is driven by either a straight key, or twin woodruff keys on the engine shaft. Replace them with new keys, which can be purchased at any hardware store. I coated the shaft and keys with anti-seize compound to allow easy disassembly in the future if have to remove the pump. Once the pump has been bolted up, you might have to adjust the unloader valve to ensure you have the correct output pressure and the engine doesn't stall out. If it's not properly adjusted, you can damage the pump. With proper maintenance on the engine and pump, our machine should run without any issues for at least another 9 years.

Mechanical Plug and Play!
The pump bolted right up, very easy installation. I believe my pressure washer works better now than it did brand new. Anyone with a set of wrenches can remove the old and install the new pump. A new pressure washer is 2-3 times the the price of the replacement pump. Remember to let your motor warm up after you hook up the water and start it. I put my washer on 1/2 choke for about 3 minutes, removed the spray tip from the wand and pulled the trigger. When the idle leveled off, I closed the choke, re-installed the spray tip and it ran like a champ for 8 hours straight (less 3 fill ups).

Nice upgrade for my troy built 2700
Order this as a replacement because the valve body on the original pump cracked. This is a much better quality pump than what came stock with my machine. Simply swapped out the pressure relief valve for the one that came with my machine and it is running beautifully!
