Pricey but invaluable
I've been an unpaid carer for many years. For the last two it's been particularly hard, my elderly clinically extremely vulnerable mother shielding on advice from consultant/s since March 2020. Meantime , she's acquired new conditions, problems, even injuries to add to a raft of comorbidities which make healing let alone quality of life difficult. With pressures on the medics we'd normally turn to I've undertaken a more hands on role - and I prefer those hands to be gloved with good quality sterile (above all else, sterile) medical grade gloves when changing dressings, administering injections or assisting in more basic tasks. These are brilliant. They are packed in such a way, folded back, to be put on more easily, and they don't snap or tear in the process. It's important, depending on why you need them, to get the right fit. Having struggled to get some gloves on I got large initially - which were fine where precision wasn't an issue such as helping your loved one bathe or clean up. However, you need a proper fit for doing injections and dressings and cleaning wounds or adding salves and anti biotic creams and such like- so reordered in Medium. Just right. The L will still be used in more general settings but the medium are perfect. I just wish they came in a different colour. They do - in a different grade - but even more expensive. What I've also done is wash the gloves after certain low grade risk use and reuse , say, in the garden, beneath my usual gauntlets or on their own if simply potting up. I think it's a good product.
