Not a lot of options for heavy duty cases for the newest 2024 iPad Air, this is for the 2022 model; the case fits perfectly and allows use of the rear camera, but *it does cover the front facing camera* worth noting if you want to be able to use that. Tried 4 different cases to find cases that could withstand daily 8-10 hours of in-the-field use by service techs for work. This one was the sturdiest I found; the plastic bezel is thicker than others, and the case snaps together securely with a port cover to protect the charging access. When putting iPad into the case it rests below an overhang of the rubber casing which helps pad the device and feel it will save it when it’s inevitably dropped even if it breaks the plastic bezel.

The quality of the rubber is a little softer than id like it gets stuck sliding into laptop bag, and sometimes the edge will come undone an ill have to snap back together than that this holds up well. I beat the literal crap out of my ipads i drop them from trucks, take them on planes, i use this with the paper feel screen protectors. The pencil isnt going anywhere in there. Its secure no worries. I have large 6'4" hands so getting the pencil out with my fat fingers is doable if you press from behind. I can also use touch ID with my fingers. you just have to set up touch ID before putting the case on. I hope they do a revision where they get a more firmer rubber material. This is like a silicone shell. It works it just a pain to slide in and out of tight bags

Great case! I bought one 1.5 years ago and it had saved my iPad many times. Am actually buying a second one now, as I made the first sacrifice itself a few too many times, I broke the front frame in two places. The iPad took zero damage!!If you're on the fence, have no doubts, this is a very protective case. Of course make sure you have a screen protector, too.

Honestly, I use my iPad for drawing and can’t afford to replace it if anything were to happen to it, so I am rarely carrying it around outside of a secure bag. I wouldn’t use the case if I were carrying my iPad around daily and at a higher risk of dropping it. I think it would protect the iPad but the clasps would be the thing to break making the case useless after that.The clasps holding it together don’t feel like they could take a lot of impact. That being said I doesn’t feel like it is going to come apart while holding it (I’m not planning on slinging it around or loaning it to my six year old). The silicone is also not securing the case together (like I had originally hoped from the way the pictures look) and it is only on the back panel and forms a bumper around the screen. But it still feels sturdy enough for me. (One of the clasps does slightly slide apart if I’m putting pressure on the silicone though but I’m hoping that it doesn’t cause issues. Currently it’s not a problem or really effecting the case, it’s just something to keep an eye on.)I also tend to be forgetful with my pen, so it being easily stored is nice. I was worried that it might be hard to remove from the case, but it’s so convenient and secure while still charging and being easy to remove. Love that part.This case is great for comfort. The silicone feels like a good quality and the back grip is comfortable on my hand and it is adjustable with Velcro. It also rotates which is convenient when drawing. And it’s pretty. It’s a great case and checks the boxes for what I wanted, but the screen being left unprotected when storing it and the fact that the clasps aren’t more secure are my only concerns. Definitely would recommend it to others that want the comfort that the case offers.

So I’m confused on others reviews that say they have the 4th gen and it doesn’t fit. Ours fits amazing and no issues at all. The only trouble I’m having is the quality of plastic. Like someone mentioned in the previous comments .. it does feel a bit flimsy. Right now I’mgoing to give 5 stars as we’ve only had it for a couple of days. I’ll update my review in a week or two if it breaks like others are claiming on the comments.Pros:: But so far, I love the color, strap to carry, and handheldCons:: the plastic does feel a bit on the cheaper end compared to the otterbox.. but our otter box broke so I figured we’d give something else another try ..especially if it’s “military grade”.

So I read reviews and was mixed so I ordered. Should have listened to negative since it did not fit as others said in upper right corner.

I like the product, but after 15 months it has broken. The hard plastic, on the end where On/off & camera end, has broken. It is a very slim portion of the plastic. Not sure anything would fix it. It was never dropped.

This was purchased for my 2022 iPad Air. Works great as advertised

I'm not impressed with this case. The lower volume button doesn't work when you assemble the case because it doesn't line up properly. You have to push up on the iPad from the back to get it to work.

It's the worst item I bought in years. The edges (plastic) are so sharp that it's very unpleasant to hold in hands. The plastic part (again) seem fragil. Sometimes, it pop up from the rest of the case. It's very heavy and bulky. The Apple pencil is hard to remove from the case. The handle and the stand are ok, but overall, I dont know, I hate it.
