These are heavy duty, very durable, easy to close, easy to clean. Still look brand new after using for a year, cooking inside and grilling as well!

We purchased the Zulay branded 9" and 12" tongs to use with our new (first time purchased) air fryer. The tongs have effectively gripped, turned, and removed (from the air fryer) large chicken breasts, hamburger patties, sausages, fries, hot dogs, and also hot dogs with chili on buns (that had been returned to the fryer for an extra couple of minutes). Although reportedly these tongs are dishwasher safe, we chose to handwash them, being careful to drain downwards, and then dry thoroughly. Although the arms of the tongs are made of steel, the little rivet attaching them might not be, and could possibly rust inside. We wash some of our larger kitchen utensils by hand rather than by using the dishwashing-machine anyway, so just added the tongs to that group. We thought it safer, as most dishwashers today do not have drying motors which had been part of the older machines. This results in more water being on the top of some mugs, on the top of the handle to the flatware basket, and sometimes on a flatware item as well, even if the load had finished during the night, and after a drying agent had been used with the load. Just a sign of the times; cheaper and more energy efficient not to include a drying motor in the dishwasher. These tongs work well, but by the nature of the rivet design, probably will not last as long as kitchen utensils and gadgets that do not have to be opened and closed to use. If there is any concern regarding silicone tongs lasting, at the reasonable cost per item(s), it might make sense to purchase a second set to have on hand as a spare.

I actually bought a set like this about 2 years prior, during pandemic my daughter and her family resided with me, mostly to protect her during pregnancy and birth, me for being a senior. my original set was used practically everyday in so many ways, once we thought it safe for them to return home my beautiful set of tongsmysteriously disappeared, so I just bought another set, because when you find a product that's durable, functional, and impressive to look at you just buy another set. Price was incredible also!

These are well made and sturdy with strong tongs. I really like the color. I was replacing a set that finally gave out after years of use. The small one in this set is a little larger than I had hoped but it's working out just fine. The lock feature seems a little stiff but that isn't creating a problem.

I am disappointed of the thin material used and the malfunction of lever. I returned them immediately when the 12" lever wasn't working properly, when it was unlocked and then locked by itself.

What an upgrade from my old ones! My air fryer calls for silicon tipped tongs for turning. The large one is nice and long to reach into the fryer without getting burned on the pot. Really smooth operation with a locking ring at top. It slides up and down to lock and release. So much nicer than what I’ve been getting by with for too long. They are a great value for the price!

Great 2pc set of tongs that lock closed in cool colors! Fashion AND function! Extra enjoyable if you also play Sisqo's 'Thong Song', but change the words to 'Tong Song' while using them.

The only negative is that slippery food tends to be hard to grip.
