Triple Dipped Milk Chocolate Malt Balls Candy (2.5 Pound Bag)

Loved these Malted Milk they are better than all the others I have tried on Amazon.They are everything they are advertised to be. Fresh and great quality chocolate!This was a repeat buy.......

These appear to be exactly what I've been searching for - the triple-dipped chocolate malt balls that used to be sold in the bulk foods department at WinCo Foods. If they aren't, they at least taste as good.

These aren't the very top-end malted milk balls that have 100% quality chocolate, but they're much better than the average. I rate them a reasonable compromise -- thickly coated and tasty, but with a bit of the waxy consistency that the cheaper candies use. So, no, they're not gourmet, but then they're not asking gourmet prices either. Also, the package is shipped inside a puffy foil-type bag inside the box, to protect them from heat or other conditions during shipping.

I am certain these malt balls are awesome (I tried one before we threw the bag away). Unfortunately, there was a problem with delivery from FedEx (no clue why as no one has problems delivering items from Amazon). The packaging was impeccable with three cold packs, but by the time I got it (in the SoCal heat) all the cold packs were hot and the chocolate was a congealed mess. We hacked off a couple of balls and my Dad and I each tried one. It's a shame as I am sure they are delicious, and no fault to the seller who packaged them extremely well.

The best care I've seen being taken to ensure the candy shows up undamaged and not melted. Packaged inside a foil bubblewrap envelope with an icepack included, all inside a large cardboard box with packing. Really nice.The flavor though is sadly underwhelming though, the chocolate is alright but the malt is barely noticeable. It would really be great if the recipe was changed so that the malt made the overall flavor really 'pop' and stand out in a pleasant way. Right now it's really just like eating a generic chocolate candy with a bit of malt ball texture and really no other flavor than some okay chocolate.

I love these malted milk balls. They remind me of the very expensive, small packages you can buy at Cracker Barrel. The chocolate is nice and thick and the malted center is crunchy and yummy as well. The only problem is trying to stop eating them LOL!

What’s disappointment this purchase is. The chocolate tastes waxy and doesn’t have a good chocolate flavor. The chocolate coating is thin and oily.

I bought these several times. In my opinion, they have too thick chocolate coating on them. I can't hardly taste the malt inside. I've gone back to the Whoppers. If you like chocolate, then these are for you. If you like more of the malt taste then pass on these.
