Better than Rx ones...
I have 2 autoimmune disorders and EDS (Ehrlers-Danlos Syndrome) a Hypermobilty disorder that makes my entire lower SI joint and hips very weak/painful/unstable... I have tried nearly every type of SI best out there from the kind you buy at your local Walgreens/Pharmacy to those that were prescribed to me by doctors and were considered "medical devices". With my conditions my hips and spine often dislocate or pinch nerves inbetween vertabrae, so as you can imagine I have a lot of pain and instability. (sometimes a nerve will get pinched so quickly it paralyzes my right leg because a main nerve from my spine gets "trapped" between the vertabrae)While, basically nearly all the belts are similar in design this one for me works the best. Before I had to wear actually sometime up to 3 separate braces to support my hip/lower back and SI joint. With this one I can just wear it ALONE and do chair work or moving around (lightly to medium) without the need for all the braces. This belt is a LIFE SAVER for me. I can cinch it up tight and it holds without rolling or bunching up. It has a soft little disk/pillow/saddle that sits right on your lower backbone. For me...with painful loose hips/spine this belt tightens it ALL up and allows me to really MOVE and sit pain free! It is a blessing.I usually don't run out and write reviews right away, but this was such a helpful aid for me I wanted to let others know. If you have really bad SI joints or a hypermobility disorder (EDS/genetic) accident to your lower back etc...This really helped me.The instructions are so easy, you can wear it UNDER or over clothing it even comes with 2 travel cases. Best of all for me (a lady) I can very easily take it on and off if I am eating out and need to go to the bathroom etc.

Finally no more pain
I had a spinal fusion December 2019. L4, 5 and S1. And then a left side hip replacement 2 months later. Ever since I’ve had pain with my other hip and low back pain on a daily basis. I had a big bulky back brace but it fit over my mid section more and would slide up totally avoiding my hip and lower back. The day I received this support belt I immediately put it on. I felt the support right away and followed directions of wearing it while standing, walking, sitting and driving too. The first time I got up from my chair I did not have the familiar pain in my back hip and knee. Then after driving for only 8 mins when I got out of my car I had no pain at all (normally I can hardly walk after driving any amount of time) then the real test was standing for 20 mins….no pain! I have only taken aleve once over the past 4 days because I forgot to wear it and was lifting my grandkids. Now while wearing the brace I don’t have pain after playing with my grandkids or sitting on the floor or carrying them for a short distance! I’m truly grateful I found this sacroiliac support belt!!

May help SI pain; May damage your clothes slightly
I injured my back and was getting pretty intense pain in my SI joints. Upon xray I had a posterior and anterior pelvic flare on either side, a tilted pelvis, and a gap from a turned SI joint on one side. This created all kinds of issues up and down my spine as my body compensated for the injury. I went to chiro, and PT and ultimately an OD. Each was a step in the ongoing recovery process. I looked up exercises for SI joint pain and read about SI belts. Thought I'd give it a try as I needed to work and hoped it would help me get through a shift walking around a restaurant. I wasn't quite sure if it helped at first. Then I read you should be in alignment before using it so maybe it didn't help until a few adjustments. But it did seem to help while sleeping. Then there was a day at work where I ran out of the house and forgot it and I definitely felt more pain after that shift. But at some point the opposite was happening. As I recovered, I experimented with not wearing it on slower days and seeing what my body could tolerate and thought maybe at some point wearing it was causing pain. So a bit of trial and error for me. Overall I do think it helped me at work in the initial more acute phase but needed to wear it less as I healed. However, one thing to note with this particular belt is that if the velcro isn't fully aligned in the front, it will pill your clothes underneath. This depends on the size of the belt and your size and how far it wraps around your hips and how tight you want to wear it or not. So maybe make sure you get one big enough that the velcro fully overlaps. Or that you don't care much about pilling of your clothes underneath. My work jeans suffered the most. They were work jeans so I didn't care too much. Just don't wear it with your valuable clothes. I attached a photo that shows the threads pulled from my jeans. Also happened to a tshirt. You can also wear the belt under clothes I suppose but that didn't seem comfortable to me. I would imagine the velcro would be scratchy on my skin if it was scratching my clothes. Different things will work for different bodies. Good luck with healing yours.

Doesn't stay in place
While this is comfortable and provides good support, it moves around too much when going from sitting to standing. I found myself constantly having to pull it down. I honestly recommend that anyone who needs an SI brace get one that secures to the thigh as well. I ended up getting that type and it was a game-changer.

Awesome SI Joint Belt Highly Recommmend
This SI joint support belt is amazing. I had relief from severe SI joint/low back pain in less than 2 weeks. Better than any other supports I tried. Better than injections. The pain was minimized the first week and almost completely gone the second week. Pain stays away because it does actually realign the area and allows nerves to heal. Follow instructions for placement. Pull the Velcro tabs to fit snugly in place. Adjust around to your most comfortable size. Place extra pad support right over the painful joint area. Easy to put on. Wear it all day. Best under all clothing AROUND HIP, right on skin, as shown in photos. I purchased the regular. I am a 5'1" woman. 139 lbs.
