Great sunglasses
I had never owned a pair of American optics up until this recent purchase, and I love them. Prior to the AO‘s I have bought Pradas, Ray Bans, Salt and these are of equal quality and look fantastic. They’re also half the price of Salt and Prada. Here’s a sunglasses fun fact, John F Kennedy wore American Optics.

Good quality, odd fit
These glasses would fit someone with a small head *and* a thick nose. I wish AO would reduce the bridge measurement and increase the lens size on most or at least some of their models. Build quality very good. Finally, as one who does not wish to participate in the systematic torture of creatures, a synthetic case would be much preferred.

Good AO sunglasses
Good quality sunglasses. This company is known for high quality at a reasonable price. These are authentic directly from AO/Europa eyewear.

What a difference!
Let me tell you—I tend to be cheap, and I generally buy cheap sunglasses. But putting these on has been a revelation. They just happen to be a perfect fit for my big face and are instantly comfortable. I've worn glasses all my life until recent cataract surgery, so I know good from bad glasses design. I am impressed by the attention to detail, especially the hinges, which look and feel strong and are neither too stiff nor too floppy, but open and close smoothly. The frame itself is heavier than most of my sunglasses, meaning more substantial and higher quality material. The lenses are optically perfect—not something I can say about most cheap sunglasses. And, when I say "cheap," I mean any sunglasses under $40.Style-wise, I generally go for this sort of simple, classic design that goes back to when I was a kid in the late 1940s (yeah, I'm old). I like a wrap-around style for riding my motorcycle, but for everyday wear, these sunglasses are perfect. The beautiful leather case is a pleasant bonus.I don't think I would have ever said this before, but I've come around. If I can spend $500 to $1,000 on a phone every few years, it seems worthwhile to spend a couple hundred bucks once in a while to protect my eyes.

Nice shades 🕶️
I love sunglasses. I was a bit of a sunglasses snob a decade ago and before kids where I only used to by high end designer. These feel equivalent to those in the way they feel and not cheap. They fit my face well too and we’re perfect for me. I got the chestnut color and I really like it. Even though I’m not gonna lie I’ve never heard of this brand before until the program. So happy to be introduced to a new brand and can sport them around.
