Prairie Horse Supply Fly Mask Cover Ears Nose, All Around Barn, Stable, Pasture, Trail Riding Sun Protection and Styles

I was so pleased to find these. I have tried pretty much every mask on the market. Here are the things that I really appreciate and sets this mask apart from many others: Size- the masks are sized appropriately. I purchased 5 horse and warmblood sizes. The fit is great. I have struggled to find a suitable warmblood size mask.They fit comfortable and stay on without having to snug it too tight.The cut- the masks accommodate many head shapes well. they sit off the eyes with well placed darts. The crown part has some stretch and fits well. It also has very good coverage; not too skimpy. Durable- the mask is very well made and the material is durable. The edges are also strong, standing up better against snags and head rubbing; a weakness of lots of mask brands. This is a very well thought out mask that is very functional and stands up to horse play. On top of all that, the price is fair and worth it. I honestly could not come up with any negatives. These were a great buy; I would recommend.

I recently took in a 48 inch pony that is best described as " petite". I wrestled with what size to order in a fly mask. I decided on the weanling/ small pony. I fit it on her and am super pleased to find it fits perfectly. The Velcro is very wide and adheres nicely. The area around the ears is a soft stretchy material, however, know there is no opening for the forelock. Not an issue for me as it will keep the hair from bleaching out. The mesh has nice pleats to keep material away and off of eyes. I will definitely purchase again. Good value for the cost!

I'll start with the dislikes:I ordered the horse size, as I do with halters and any other head gear. My horse is 14.3 for reference. It completely swamped him. The nose was so long it buckled under, not an issue for coverage with his fair, sensitive skin, but even as small as I could make it, it was still loose. I ordered an arab/cobb size next and it fits better, but still not great. I'm keeping both since I can make it work and the muzzle coverage is better than any other mask I have found with a nose cover. You can see in the various photos the amount of overlap I need to make it fit well enough that it won't come of when he rolls (he loves a good roll multiple times a day!) Unless I overlap the velcro where it sticks out of the side it comes off during his sand baths.Positives: Definitely the coverage of the nose area. He is much more protected from the sun. I'm not sure how durable the stretchy material around the ears dull be, but the rest looks well made. It is she engaging for him to see through. Hopefully the black color will help keep him more shaded than lighter colors.

My filly got out of this in one day. Her other one stays on but not this one. She's had the other one since the end of last summer and it's still going strong. Within a week this one was breaking down. It doesn't even feel well made. It's cheap material and the mesh was kinked during shipping so it almost poked her in the eye. I don't like the way this has thin cloth on the top around her ears. I think the way it was designed bothered her so she took it off repeatedly. I'm sorry but I do not recommend this product. It would work in a pinch but only until you can get a better one.

My horse is very ear shy and he accepted this face shield with no problems. It’s very roomy and adjustable, it’s made of quality materials .
