Kattee Women’s Genuine Leather Handbags for Women, Tote Bags and Cross-body Purses

My current purse was at the end of its life span and I was looking for a new one. After reading some others reviews, I wasn't sure about ordering this even though it was a Lightening Price and looked to have all the features I was looking for. So many are much too small any more to be of much good This looked like a great size. I ordered black and am very pleased with the color. It's not glossy like patent leather which is great. Can't comment if it is real leather or not as it doesn't seem to be at this point. Doesn't smell like anything (others had commented on the bad smell theirs had) so, to me, it doesn't smell like leather. Time will tell how it wears. Leather will wear well, if not leather, time will tell when it starts to break down. The gold parts ARE a bit bright but I can deal with that. I got it because it has the 2 smaller round handles as I'm short and need a bag that doesn't drag on the ground!! I cut the 2 attached straps off as they seem to not have a true function. Too short to use for over-the-shoulder and too long as regular handles. I also removed the 4 gold strap holders after I cut the 2 short straps off. I used a Dremel drill in the little opening to grind them down to a size I could use a bolt cutter on to finish cutting them off. BEWARE: those strap holders are made of STEEL and are not the easiest things to remove!! Now it looks like they never existed!! I did attach the long over-the-shoulder strap and adjusted it to a nice length to use as a shoulder strap when I need it. I LOVE all the zipper pockets this purse has. Things will stay where you put them and not fall to the bottom and get lost!! The horizontal outside pocket is perfect for 2 sets of keys and the electronic pad to set our security system. I haven't put anything in the vertical one yet. These aren't really small as was stated in one description. Love the little pocket on the inside for my very small cell phone. The outside straps on the ends for adjusting the depth of the bag is interesting. That's a new idea for me. I have it set on the second hole and it's perfect. Someone had mentioned the bag always fell over for them. If you work with the area a little bit, you can get it to have nice flat bottom and it stands up perfectly. So, yes, I'm very happy with this purse. I know I could fit my iPad in it if I so desired along with all of my other 'necessities'.

I want to give this bag a 5 but a few things. First, the dimensions are correct, but only on the outside. As one reviewer said, when you cinch up the side buckles, you do lose some room. Then, the liner inside, although seems like it will last and i love the material, seems to have been stitched slightly smaller than the full bag dimensions, which robs you of a little space. I bought this bag to hold some file folders to tote back and forth to work, and you can see in the pictures that 8.5 x 11 sheet papers fit no problem, but you can see the slightly larger blue folder pokes up (making it hard to zip close) and is slightly bowed due to tight quarters. I do love the size overall though, it feels like a purse and not a briefcase or oversized storage tote (as i am only 5'1 and giant totes seem to dwarf me!)Second, love that there are multiple holding options, but i wish the wrist handles would fold completely inward when i am using the shoulder straps. I could just be picky, but i like the cleaner look it would give.Third, as another reviewer said, shoulder straps seem thin. Wish they were reinforced with another layer of leather to bulk it up a bit. My bags tend to get heavy...I am hoping the straps will endure though, but I worry...I also hope the stitching holds up. Im not worried about it as the quality seems well made, but I know other reviewers had problems.On the plus, the black leather is absolutely gorgeous and shiny! Very high quality. The zippers and gold metal buckles are high quality as well. And the bag is very sharp and professional looking. It also stands up on its own, a little wobbly since it doesnt have legs and no hard structured walls, but thats why it looks more like a purse and not a brief. Overall very happy with it and plan on using it for a long time (but if it breaks, Ill be sure to update this review!!)

I've only been using this bag for about a week and a half, but so far I love it.Pros:-The navy color is perfect and it matches well to the navy you see in all the clothing stores right now. It looks professional.-The zipper is good quality and works well.-The inside sewn-in pockets are large enough to actually hold things. I've had other bags that these pockets were only good for chapstick, but these pockets will hold my phone and many other things.-The lining seems to be good quality.-The two outside pockets are great! I keep my purse zipped on the metro, but the vertical pocket on one size and horizontal pocket on the other are handy places to keep a metro card or phone for easy access. The vertical pocket is small, but the horizontal one holds two phones and more.-I haven't used the longer strap, but I could see this being very useful for travel. It's well made and the clasps are sturdy.-The bag is large enough to fit all my stuff. I usually carry my work shoes, a water bottle, tupperware container, two phones, a small umbrella, and other knick-knacks. All of that fits with the zipper closed. This is a great commuter bag!Cons:-As mentioned by other reviewers, the handles can be a little awkward. I use the longer attached handles on my morning metro commute, and I just fold the smaller handles down towards the inside of the bag to keep them from being uncomfortable.-I'm a little wary of the part of the handles that connect to the purse. The leather here appears very thin, and I'm concerned that this area may wear quickly. I haven't had any issues in a week and a half, but it's something to watch out for.

considering it is 'genuine leather' it has a chemical smell to it instead of the normal leather smell. Time will tell about durability but it is otherwise described. I wish I woould have chosen a different one purely down to the chemical odour.

Really disappointed with this purchase, wasn't able to give it a zero star rating and even that would have been generous. Despite description and advert photos, this is NOT genuine leather, it is horrible squeaky trashy orange plastic. Don't waste your hard earned money.

I find it hard to believe there are no reviews for this item ... It is clearly not leather and looks cheap and nasty and not the tan leather look it looks in here...

Just received my bag, the only piece that is leather is the label attached to it. Really disappointed.

Very disappointed it looks nothing like the picture just cheap and nasty. Is it leather?
