This gate is super easy to install as it comes with paper printout screw hole layout, it's also avaliable on the side of the box if you need it.Once the mounting brackets and clips are attached to the wall. The gate is really easy to use it clips in place and works straight away.I have installed it between the cupboards and the wall in the kitchen so we can shut our dog behind it when we have guests enter the house.Our dog so far has been unable to get under the gate as the lock stops the gate opening any more, its also strong enough not to collapse under her 30kg weight if she jumps up it, it's been brilliant.The material is wipe clean too.

The product comes with installation instructions in German and pidgin English. The latter are hard to translate, but with the illustrations they are comprehensible if you spend the time to work out what they mean.There is also a guarantee registration card directing the buyer to send an email and name to a stated address, in order to register the guarantee (without which it says it is not valid) and to be given access to the manufacturer's installation video. Having done that 36 hours ago I have received no response whatever.Other installation videos for this and similar products are freely available on YouTube and are quite helpful.Fitting the gate to my stairway necessitated the DIY creation of several wooden spacers due to the configuration of the wall, skirting and newell post as the brackets supplied are not adjustable. Having done that, installation is fairly easy provided care is taken to ensure the brackets are installed in the correct vertical planes. Overall the installation took me a couple of hours but it could probably be done more quickly by a more confident DIYer.Once installed, the product seems fine: well designed, and operates as it should. As a retractable and detachable barrier that does not involve a horizontal bar across the stair at the base of the product, I think it will prove to be worth the effort.

The media could not be loaded. I actually bought 2 metal gate before and I always have accident because I always trip on it and its very bulky, it take lots of space and stock in one place. My kids keep banging the metal gate on our wall. Until the moment discovering this Retractable safety gate. I am very happy to have this as you can see on the picture provided its a really good size and good looking safety gate. Versatile and neat. Very Reasonable price for one gate as you can transfer it from one place to other. There's 2 set of wall mount hardware so I install mine downstairs and upstairs, whenever where downstairs or upstairs I can move the gate easily. I Genuinely love this product.

To start with we were really impressed with this gate and it looks far better than the extended stair gate that was in the space before. A new, expensive, floor had been fitted and the old gate had scratched the floor a lot resulting in us deciding to change it.Unfortunately within a couple of days the cocker spaniel had worked out if she puts her nose under the bottom, it lifts and she can walk out - who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! She didn't wait to be shown. The younger bigger dog jumped up it and realised immediately that it then goes down and he just slides over the top!On the demonstration from the younger dog, I would imagine any toddler leaning on the gate would also learn that it gives and its possible to go over the top.These actions will be reduced (and probably solved) by using the lock function, but you will not be able to do one handed as easily as the solid baby gates. IE turn the lock, unhook, walk through, hook back and lock again. In our situation across 2 doors, the one door is usually bolted closed and you can't get back to the lock to turn it without unbolting the second door.I am going to move it to the bottom of the stairs where it is a deterrent more than a barrier. Great idea, nice kit, just not working as well as it might for us in its present site

Baby gate for keeping babyes outside, i knew this model of gate before I buyed it because I had another one bought before but this one is for my sister, because she has a son now that is trying to escalate the stairs all the time. It is a good looking, sturdy and not so expensive baby gate. The pack contains the gate and all the accessories for instalation, it is not so hard to install you only need to look closely at the instruction.

Disappointed the mesh isn't tight and bent once installed. Looks nice from a distance and really easy to install

The gate is my second purchase of a similar design - the pre ious one lady a few years without a hitch - this one has not been easy to install - it’s temperamental and giggles up when retracting. I cannot open it easily with one hand Very frustrating
