The 60 pound coded wire is perfect for shark fishing.
I have been using the 60 pound black coated wire for my homemade 6’ leaders for several years now. This is the perfect thickness for fighting sharks up to 12 feet long at least.I double crimp the ends. Swivel on one end and a 9/0 circle hook on the other end with a piece of cut bait or live mullet and enjoy the fights.There is very little kinking that this line will occur. Perhaps that is because it is coated?When I cannot remove the hook, I can simply cut the leader, as close to the hook as safely allowed, wire a new hook in and resume the fights.I also use this same test wire in making leaders for my trolling Muskie Baits.Hope this review helps you.Be well.
