The grommets on these curtains make them easy to open when you actually do want light in your room. Otherwise they block out light completely. They are a good weight and soft material so that they hang nicely. Originally bought these for my teenage niece who is changing her bedroom colors, and was using black as an accent color, and wanted to block out light. When she left for college, a friend took them to his place, and put them in his bedroom to block light, and they equally work with his decor. I guess if you have black, they will go just about anywhere, but they do hang very nicely they open and close easily, and they do block out the light. At least this was my experience with the black panels. They were very good value in my opinion. I don't recall if they actually blocked out cold any better than any other curtain from the same type of material so I can't really speak to that.

I have a rather large window in the den and did not want to spend a fortune on specialty curtains, so I bought two sets of these inexpensive curtains. The measured length is correct, so all is well. Now since I ordered two sets, there could have been light coming between the segments, but some black 3D printed clips on the back took care of that and cannot be noticed.Now these do have some wrinkles where they were folded in the bags, but with any luck they'll work their way out over time, but since these curtains are black, the wrinkles are not as noticeable as they would be on a lighter shade.

Haven’t had them up but several days but after I hung them on one window the next morning I got up to find my husband had put them on the other window. He liked them that much. How often does a husband hang curtains without being asked several times to at least help even if they are for his man cave? Hope these last and they seem like they should. They do block the light and some of the heat which is great considering it’s where he watches tv and it’s been unbearably hot this summer. I certainly hope they will have some other colors on the deals in the future. Quality curtain rods would be a great addition need double rods that are durable and nice looking.

If a blackout curtain can be luxurious, it’s this one! The look, the feel, the weight, all 5 stars! I’m using this set as a backing to a lighter weight drape for insulation. When I realized the sun was blazing into my balcony sliders & felt like, one, it made my condo hotter & two, it could affect the wear. The first day I put these curtains up, the room was automatically cooler & I’m certain it will help keep cold out & heat in this upcoming Fall/Winter. Plus, there’s a privacy factor I also enjoy.

Nicetown has excellent curtains. Been using them for years in the bedrooms but recently put the black out curtains in almost every room. What a difference in the level of comfort; the rooms are cool and my electric bill actually went down quite a bit as the a/c isn't running day and night.

These curtains have done a great job blocking out the light from my windows. I am mostly happy with the fact that I did not need to iron them out at all! They de-wrinkled on their own after I hung them up.

They block a lot of the direct Sun light. I mean a lot!! I have four panels of the dark grey. This item is a good buy. The curtains are heavy and they feel nice. And most importantly they block the direct summer sunlight and heat. I bet they’ll be good for drafty windows in the winter too

My husband works nights so blackout curtains are a must, these work great! Not only that, they are gorgeous, hang beautifully with no ironing needed. Love them so much I bought a second set for another room.
