Great cage
I was expecting to have to spend a lot of time putting this together because of some other reviews. Also, thought I would need cable ties to hold corners together. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to put together and contrary to other reviews, found this cage to be sturdy with no gaps. Very roomy for my white 🐀, Tiny. She loves it. No way she can get out unless I let her. She doesn't chew on it and it is very easy to clean and lite weight. I can pick up and carry around with her in it.

This is the worst buy ever.
Very cheap, the cage part doesn't line up with the plastic base. Anytime you move the cage it pops out of place and the whole thing comes apart. The shelves don't extend far enough to even stay secure. We received late and bought a smaller one for the time being. Decided with the cost of shipping it would be pointless to return. This is buy far the most frustrating cage I've ever had to put "together". The accessories are junk. The wheel is good for maybe a small rat. We can't use the shelves which was the whole point of getting this cage. They don't stay in place. Been a lot of frustrating tears. My poor daughter. Looking for a new one, what a waste of $68. Don't buy!!!!

Decent...
Ok so I bought one, loved it, but one of the larger sides is bent and the shelf kept falling off. Fixed it in place with super glue. Little more difficult to clean now but I'll manage. Bought a second and it was much better. Still love it. Bought a third (I have 9 rats, 3 in each cage) and the base pieces were snapped. Started a return, realized I had to pay shipping and said forget it. I'll fix it and use it somehow. The things that came with it are garbage. The water bottle comes with a wire to attach to the cage, but the plastic coating rubs off so easily and it hurts to bend. It's also very small and is drank very quick, so you have to mess with that wire a LOT. the wheel is tiny. I wouldn't even put a baby mouse in it. Absolutely not suitable for any rodent. The house is...weird. I already had one and had no plans to use it's but if you choose to, good luck. It's just awkward to put together and attach to the cage. The cage itself wasn't hard to put together once I understood how to do it. The gaps between each side aren't actually that large. They are about as large as the width of the cage bars - 1/2". My rats haven't tried to escape. Even the babies. It's also easy to clean, aside from that super glued shelf. But even at that, it's not a hastle. The doors are mostly great. The acrylic doors ARE secure, despite what I saw someone else say, but I had an issue with one of the metal doors on one cage. It's too loose and one night one of my rats climbed on it and it flew open. Couldn't risk it, also having cats, so it's ziptied shut. These things are sold out now, at the time of writing this, but they have an identical cage for birds with perches instead of shelves. So I don't know if my review matters, but I'm writing it anyway. All in all, I love the cages, honestly. As long as you have your own hideaway, wheel and water bottle, it can be a quote cozy home for rodents. Some people say it's too small for rats, but my rats love it too and have shown no signs of distress. If your concerned about it, maybe it would be better for one or two rodents.

Great size for Syrian hamsters!
I LOVE the size of this cage for my syrian hamster! She is so happy in here and no longer bar chews. It has a deep enough base for my hampster to burrow and she loves the different levels to climb on. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do not like the clips that attach the 4 side walls. They can pop off easily when your hampster messes with them. I still put them on there, but I used wire twist ties (that I bought separately) as well to make sure the corners were secure. I also did not like how the wire on the top lid attached. It slid around and didn't snap in very tightly, so I used wire on the lid as well to secure it better. After I made those changes, it has worked perfectly with no hampster escapes! It is a very nice large size cage, and MUCH cheaper than other large cages. It doesn't have tubes, but honestly my Syrian doesn't seem to like the critter trail tubes. I think she might be a little bit for them. So this cage works just fine with no tubes. The directions for assembly were a little tricky, but I got it figured out. Definitely recommend this cage.

Nice cage, especially for the money.
After getting a couple dozen soft-furred rats from a hoarding situation, I needed an extra cage to separate out the three males in the bunch. This cage is perfect, and a good buy for the price. Roomy and sturdy. I will say that the instructions are less than comprehensive and the assembly not at all intuitive, but I figured it out and had it assembled in less than 20 minutes. Now that I know how to do it it would take me about 5 minutes.
