If your truck did not have factory integrated mirrors you will have to get them flashed at a dodge dealer, {these mirrors are not plug and play for standard mirror's}. installing two sales codes is $200 per code.Here's what you need a cheap 12v tester, T connectors or splice kit and wire. all for about $11 at harbor freight.*follow the video on youtube on upgrading to tow mirrors to see how to remove door panels.*in the front wheel well remove the plastic hatch to access the turn signal bulb unit.*remove the turn signal unit, just let it hang down.*fish the wire from your door jam to the hatch.*locate the flasher wire on the turn signal unit with 12v tester by activating the flasher and contacting the tester to the metal contact points in the unit, then connect wire that you fished (you only need to connect the one wire).*At the mirror end, review the manual that came with the new mirrors to see what wire is for turn signal. ex for my 2018 ram it was the the red and yellow wire on the new mirrors black connector.*connect wire with T connector or splice set.*repeat for the other side.Haven't got to the puddle lights yet!

First, my vehicle is a 2009 Ram 1500 Sport. Right out of the box I was impressed with the quality of these mirrors. All connections appeared to be correct and the mounting plate matches.Once I got my door panel off and the old mirrors removed I mounted the first mirror, connected it to the harness inside the door panel, turned the key on and tested out the functions. 1. Upper mirror motors work in all directions as they should 2. Turn signal on the mirror face itself works as it should 3. Puddle light does NOT light up when door opens or when using fob to unlock doors a. I hooked 12v directly to that line and the LED does light up so I know the light functions. b. I recalled reading another review on here (prior to purchasing) that explained something wasn't wired correctly. So I sought that review out and did some testing of my own. c. Turns out, the power source for the puddle light comes from an entirely different wire in the harness, unfortunately it's been about a month since I installed these and can't remember the colors correctly. Use a multimeter and by some connectors if you want your puddle lights to work. 4. Reverse lights. My truck did not come with this feature so they do not work with any harness connector. Plenty of wire is included coming from them to wire into your backup lights somewhere if you'd like. However, I decided I wanted them to come on with the puddle lights so the side of the truck would be lit up too. So I jumped them in with the wires for the puddle lights. 5. Backside turn signals...again, my truck only had the bottom turn signals as part of the stock mirrors so I think that is the part of the harness that is used by the mirror face signals (red) on this mirror. As a result, the backside (amber) turn signals did not work at all. I had to splice those into the harness that controlled the red turn signals on the mirror face. 6. The seller included a wiring diagram on here in the questions section and part of it is INCORRECT...I can't remember now if it was the puddle lights or the back up lights but they have the +/- reversed. Again, use a multimeter and test it as you go. It isn't hard it just takes a few minutes to get it sorted correctly.All in all, I would definitely buy these again. They are a fantastic product for a very reasonable price. They take some getting used to after driving with the sport mirrors I had for the last 10 years. I have yet to get our boat out of the garage to really test them while towing (which is why I bought them in the first place). But hopefully in the next couple weeks we will hit the lake.

Took about an hour to replace them both. These are nice. Great fit and look to my gray 2016 Ram.

Easy to install and they also include tools to remove the plastic clips and cover by the door handle. Had them installed with in 15 minutes.
